1.0 Advanced Enemy AI information.

Q: How do I place enemy AI?
A: First select the player number from the Topbar toolbar (remember player 1 is the human player), then select one of the knights from the entities button window by clicking on Script, and from there you can then select the different types of troops that you wish to use. Remember that these enemy AI will only show up as white squares with an point on one side in the editor, but they will show up properly in the game.

2.0 Advanced Water options.

Q. I've tried to place some water vectors to "steer" the water in the right direction but messed up. How do I go about removing the water vectors in the Settlers 6: Rise of an Empire map editor?

A. You can remove the water vectors by hovering your mouse cursor over them while you are still using the water vector tool. When the vector on your screen turns from green to red, click your right mouse button and the vector line that is red will be removed and the water patterns will adjust to that missing vector.

3.0 Advanced Object Placement Tips

Don't be fooled by the editor telling you that you can't place an object somewhere on the map. While the editor may turn your object red initially thus telling you that you can't place the object you wish to place at the exact location you wish to place it, do not fret there is a way around it.

Place your object anywhere on the map, now use the select entity tool to select your freshly placed object and use the right mouse button (held down) to move the object where you want it to go. When you move an entity in this way the editor does not complain that you have an overlapping objects and will allow the placement.

Prime scenarios where this is useful are places such as when building a harbor and you get to your end piece of stone walling. You wouldn't want to see a transparent stone wall as the end piece, so grab a couple rocks and place them on the map, then use the select entity tool to select each rock, and move them to where they overlap the wall. With practice you can make them look as if the stone harbor was was built right into the rock and it gives it a more natural appearance instead of a harbor wall just ending out in the middle of nowhere.

4.0 Templates and Entities.

Q. How do I remove Template objects such as grass and rocks once I've used the Template tool to place them?
A. To remove any objects that are placed when using the template tool, simply press your right mouse button while your cursor is over the template objects that you wish to remove and they will be removed and the ground will revert to the default texture with no added template type entities. Be forwarned, this will remove ALL objects under your mouse cursor when you do this, it's sort of an eraser tool for any template objects that you have placed.
