I thought these seemed very cheap and I really enjoyed playing both of them when they came out - although to be honest I may not have finished Space Colony because it got a bit too hard near the end  Bashfull Female and I am not that good at combat, but the management bits of the game are fun Thumbs Up Agreed Happy

Also - although I really enjoyed Ghost Master - again I could only finish it because I found a walkthrough somewhere which gave the right order for setting up the 'things' - I am very bad at guessing what order to do 'things' in Bashfull Female - but the earlier levels were obvious enough to be able to work things out without any help - and I really enjoyed playing this too  Thumbs Up Agreed Happy

The prices are in euros and I've converted them so they will fluctuate a bit with the economic mayhem we are experiencing at the moment... Looking around cautiously Oh! I see Suprised Bonking on the head with a hamor Big nasty pile of Poop Funstrated!

I've still got  Space Colony laying around here, but I never even came close to finishing it, I found it far too difficult to complete, or even to enjoy playing for my liking.  It felt like I was in a high school project with a bunch of drama queens around me and I had to run around appeasing all of them all the time.

I hope Im remembering the game right and it's not another one of similar name or design that Im thinking of.  Im pretty sure I've got it right on this one though.

Space Colony is very fun game. I finished it and even played user made scenarios.
I often laugh when I play, but I never laughed that much as with this game.
There you have some people who have to build colony on other planets. They came from 8 or 12 (I don't remember) different countries (USA, Ireland, India, Ukraine, Greece, China, Japan etc.) They all speak English with different accent and they have hilarious conversations which somehow have sense. They also talk to you (player) to let you know what they want or need.
You should try this just for laugh and fun.

Okay, you want to hear funny.   I was looking around my house trying to find my Fable game box, and what do I come across... That's right, I have a brand new unopened Space Colony game sitting here, the one with the box has a 3d type of polymer material on the front so when you look at it from different angles, the images change, Im sure we've all seen that stuff before.  I bought this at the local piggly wiggly store (Pic N Save, AKA Big Lots) a few months ago  because I liked the way the images change on the front cover, for practically nothing (no games were over 3.00 back then)

I'd like to open and give it another try since giocel has put a new twist on it, that I did not remember, but... It seems such a shame to open such a nice looking box.  It was a real marketing genius to use the box with the changing images on the front.

Here is the way the box describes the game on the back cover:

You've built the perfect (undecipherable words that were under a price sticker) earth.  Now let's see how you do with the rest of the galaxy.  Welcome to Space Colony, where your life depends on an unruly group of fellow space rejects.  Between managing the resources of the colony and managing the various neuroses of your fellow colonists, you may feel the vastness of space closing in on you.  Ahh, life behond the stars.  It's everything the brochure said it would be!

Save the Colony!  Your staff are brawling, the harvester robot is chain sawing it's way through the oxygen supply and the small furry aliens have taken over the disco.  This is home!

Each unique personality has a mind of its own so remember happy colonists make for productive colonists.  Ignore them and they'll  pick fights, argue, get depressed, and eventually go crazy.  Nurture them and they will work hard for you, become friends and maybe even fall in love!

With over 100 buildings at your disposal, it's up to you to build a colony that meets all the colonists needs and keeps them safe and happy.  So before you shell out all your credits on iron extraction and space chicken production to bring in the cash, remember, that without a gym, a sauna or a half decent restaurant, nobodys going to want to work for you!

End of box cover.

Yup, it's all coming back to me, stuck on a space station with a bunch of drama queens, with the way that they use to all bicker amongst themselves and never get anything done.

For anybody whos is greeted by a message insead of the faq, it is because we've linked to it from off of their site instead of from their site, so simply right click on the link giocel has provided, then choose copy.

Then left click on the link giocel has provided, when at the page that tells you no offsite linking, simply paste the link you previously copied into your browser url bar and hit enter and you will then be taken to the documentation you were meant by giocel to see from just clicking the link to begin with.

Pheewww, what a hassle just to get to a link on their site.  Oh well.  Good reading.
