What is KSP: Beta Than Ever?
This is a new update to Kerbal Space Program, also numbered 0.90, as each update to the game has a number attached to it. It is free for existing players and new players will install this version when they download the game. It focuses on brand new upgradeable facilities, the Kerbal...

Hey guys,

Don't Starve if you don't already know is a fun little survival adventure game where the game is out to get you.  You have to get resources, build a base and do everything to survive.  They have released (in early-access) the new multiplayer version.

Together supports up to 6 players on a server.

If you already own Don't Starve you can get access to the Together version and you get an extra copy to give to a friend for $5,...

Just informing anyone who has been waiting for a big steam sale, they are having one now.

So, I've kind of been burned on some 'early access' games on Steam with the latest one being Spacebase DF9 (or something like that) where I only just found out now that the developers finally admitted that sales have not been enough for them to continue development.

This really makes me think that Steam needs to revamp their rules on what can be sold for early access and what can't.  For example be their own type of kickstarter that the...

Just saw this game announcement "Stars Beyond Reach":
Described as "4x, hexes, hex-shaped map, 14 races planned (8 playable), 3 leader options per race, no units (think SimCity), sci-fi but planet based, and (probably) with co-op multiplayer."  Could be good, I'll definitely be...

Anyone else here play the witcher series?

I pre-ordered the third game as I have eaten up the hype and I enjoyed the first two games.  Anyway the pre-order came with closed-beta passes for the online adventure board game they are developing as well.  Have played a few games so far.  It takes a bit to get use to and they need to enhance interaction between players but it has a lot of potential.

With all that said, they gave me two keys, one for me and one to...

SimTower was a fun game of its time I want to see who is still interested and if anyone wants to work on a spiritual successor to it.

When I was a sad and lonely boy (I don't want to go into detail here why I was sad and lonely in 1999-2003 when I was 8-12), one of my favorite pastimes besides reading science fiction and fantasy novels was playing computer games. My mother bought me the SimMania pack when it was new. I loved SimSafari, was confused by SimIsle (I never learned...

Does anyone have any news on the game called Startopia.  If I recall correctly, Muckyfoot created this game back in the 90's.  A reboot of this game would be great, as I remember many hours playing this space city game.

I'm looking for one game I just can't remember the name of.
I think it was released in the late 90's.

You were supposed to build up a kind of a modern beach resort, my clearest memory of it is that there were surfer shops that you could build.
I know it's not much info but maybe it rings a bell for someone, somewhere.

It would be much appreciated if anyone of you could help me remember the name.  Or even where to get...

So, I know I'm late to the party just now getting my first "smartphone", but hey better late then never I suppose.

Anyway, I've been cruising around the app store this morning to see what is on offer, mostly checking the *free* (cough, cough) apps and games and see that some of them might be free if I can afford to give up some screen real estate to in app/game ads or some are for straight up purchase after trying their demos (if that's what...

I know that many of us loved the Dungeon Keeper 2 game and so I thought I'd post up about this game that I came across today thanks to a link that Khalan posted about Towns, which eventually ledf me to "Dwelvers".

You can download the alpha version at no charge from the Dwelvers site:
And they have an option to "pre-order" if you're so inclined that you can find on their site.

Other than not...

I would like to share with you a page I have put together showing short clips of a couple of my routes in Trainz which I spend a lot of time tinkering with and have built from a blank baseboard.  Now I am definately an amateur with knowledge of trains generally, but the steam trains do fascinate me with all their glory of hissing, steaming, whistles and other sounds.  I remember when staying at my grandparents as a very young child, I could hear the shunting and goings on at the...

Woohoo!  Went for cataract surgery in my right eye yesterday morning and they took the patch and guard off my eye this morning.  I can see again!

Prior to the surgery everything had a smokey film over it and if I looked at any websites that had black text on a white background to me it just looked like black smudges running across the page, got to be so bad that I had to change my computer to use inverted colors (white text on black background), when driving I couldn't...

Thought I would let people know, if not already aware of it, that Age of Mythology has been remade and put on steam. It will be released on the 8th of May. This is one of my all time favorite games so I am quite excited about it. Buying it early grants a 20% discount and buying a 4 pack you get effectively a 40% discount off each individual game. As such if anyone cares to go in on a 4 pack with me that would be great. I imagine Bruschev will want to also if he hasn't already bought the...

Well, took the jump, purchased DI edition...early access has been smooth server wise, some quest bugs and of course, because I'm on the North American Server, way to many idiots camping spawn zones, breaking quests, etc...but all in all a pretty rock solid debut for it...kind of like it so far, but time will tell!

Currently what I would like some feedback on is assigning laborers to more specific tasks, in this case, peasants/laborers/builders.

In the original Majesty peasants spawned from the castle and were generic builders, constructing each building. I had many issues with this:

1)Priorities: Peasants seems to build stuff based on the oldest available build commands. Sometimes I am more concerned about some buildings than others.

2)Range: Range was infinite....

Hey guys,

I know it isn't city building, but anyone picking up Diablo III in anticipation of the Reaper of Souls expansion?  I just picked it up for the first time since its release and I must say I'm deeply impressed with the changes patches have done since then.  It feels like a greatly different game from what I played a year and a half ago, and really for the better!

Hi Gang,

Just got notified by EA forums that Update 10 is now available for Simcity 2013.

If you didn't know, update 10 takes Simcity "offline" and allows you to play it single player without needing to be online, and it includes a "save as" function to allow us to make multiple copies of our regions (like most games allow) so now we'll be able to experiment with the region and if it doesn't work out we'll be able to load the copy of...

While searching for info on what ever happened to Civitas, I came across a game that may potentially be a winner. I know it piqued my interest as a citybuild game.

Here is a little snippit from the devlog.

I set out to do something crazy - creating my own city building game.

Ever since I played A-Train and SimCity 2000 as a child, this was my dream.
Now I have the technology, the skills and the knowledge to implement it.

Anyone else here play it?  They are working on an open multiplayer release.  Might be fun to give it a try, or maybe wait a month or two for the official mp release (even though the game is still technically "alpha").
