You are female?  You don't write 'like a girl'!  I thought you were a guy. I was wondering if you had a wife, or lived alone, or whut. I live alone, and this is difficult at times. Sometimes it'd be nice just to have someone bring me an iced tea. That's not a lot to ask, is it? I've been wondering if you have a helper.

I'm sorry to hear about your digestive problems. I'll venture a guess about this, though. I don't think the meds would change the muscle contraction patterns. It's probably a  abnormality that you had before the meds. Then again, what do I know?

I'm doing better today. Am back to normal (you are hereby warned, so beware!). I'm gonna take my full dose of diazepam from now on, and stop the self-induced madness! I just want to be comfortable, fer chrissake! Yesterday was very illuminating, but what an ordeal. And this morning, I hurt so bad I just said that I'm not gonna continue this experiment, so I took an oxycodone. This not only relieves the pain, it's a mood elevator. Or maybe my mood gets better 'cause I don't hurt.

It might be that I ate something that got in the way of absorbtion of the diazepam. I dunno. I don't care either. I'm a lot more comfortable, and I think I'll be okay.

At any rate, YOU'RE A GIRL? Yucky!  Big Smiley Grin Laughing Girls got cooties.  Agreed Happy

I guess you can see I'm still a boy at heart. I play with trains and my computer. I firmly believe that it's never too late to happy childhood, and I'm still growing up. Like the song in the Broadway "Peter Pan". I won't grow up. I don't wanna go to school. I don't wanna wear a tie. I don't wanna be a fool. Also, think of it as a sign of humility. I'm very very smart, but there's always room for improvement.

I've lost that file (the present) I was gonna send you that goes with Stronghold Crusaders. I'll see if I can find it online. I hope I can, but I can't remember the title of it. Then I gotta change the format so that you can view it.  I dunno if I can remember how. We'll see. Keep your finger crossed.

hmmm. You don't paint your toe-nails do you? Girls do the silliest things!  Laughing

edit:

I FOUND IT (the file, I mean)! yay.

But you don't get it until you've played the game a little bit, so let me know when you have.

Hello and Welcome  My "self-imposed detox" continues. . . . I'm now on day 14, and needless to say, not feeling very perky.   Just trying to get through this in my own way, and have not been feeling talkative. . .

I've been reading all the posts about Imperium Romanium. . . how exciting for everyone!  I can't wait to try it, but right now I don't have enough concentration and/or stamina.   I'm getting very tired of Spider Solitaire, so maybe I'll give IR a try this afternoon.

Thanks for dropping me a line Lengo. . . that was very thoughtful.    :)  Hope all is well with you.

 Hello and Welcome Kat,

I admire your determination to "detox". Hubby is in recovering from a broken leg and has gotten off the pain meds, but it's not easy.

The tutorial for Imperium Romanium is very easy, won't take much concentration or stamina (less that Spider Looking around cautiously) so give it a try. Did you play GotRE I ?  I enjoyed it and it looks like IR will be even better.  Agreed Happy

Are you sure this self imposed detox is the right thing to do? If I skip a dose, not only does my pain get terrible, I get all bummed out too. Hell! My pain sometimes gets really bad even if I keep the dosing nice and steady. I get a bad case of CRS (can't remember sh*t) too. Are you sure it's worth it? I hope you're not just punishing yourself. What's the goal? Are you sure it's realistic?

At any rate, know that I'm in your corner for ya.

I dunno about this Imperium Romanum, Taz. I can barrely concentrate. There's things I've been meaning to do but I can't get started! I wanna research about the 1830s (basically, the Andrew Jackson era), write short stories, and I'm trying to read Jules Verne's From the Earth to the Moon, but everything is unfinished, and in fact, barely started. About the nly thing I do consistently is go swimming. That doesn't take much brains!

This getting old is gettting old and it's for old people, not us! Somebody make it stop!  Disagreeing Madly

On the positive side, I've found a couple of things that are good. For one thing, I went to a hole in the wall Mexican tienda (store), and bought some hand made tamales. Oh man! These are yummy! they're affordable too. And they're easy. You just pop 'em in the microwave. THey're a no muss-no fuss dinner or snack. The elections are also somewhat fun.  A lotta people are talking about 'em and I hear some really whacky theories from people. These are entertaining, but frankly, I don't give a damn about the elections and I don't have an agenda this time around. I just smile and nod when I hear these people tell me their theories. They have a right to them. I don't need to enlighten 'em. I'm just happy that we're done with Bush. That cheers me up a little.

I've seen a couple of good movies lately. If you haven't seen Chocolat, it's worth seeing. I REALLY liked this one. If you haven't seen it, check it out. It's very charming.

Talk about stupid though! I'm reading the dictionary! I can't remember most of the new words I've found, but it passes the time. Now that's lame! The reason I'm doing this is because I thought I'd do some writing. However, I don't know what to write about. I get an idea, but it's so undeveloped, I don't know what to do with it. Scatter brained -- that's me!

At any rate, there is still some life left despite the pain and the limitations. Don't go without your meds and be miserable unless there's real promise in it. Talk to your doctor and others who've been through this. You might be setting yourself up for disapointment. But if there is something to be gained, more power to ya! I'm rootin' for ya! Either way, I'm in your corner.
