Well, I'd add this myself here but I wouldn't want to upset the creator without permission, so I'll just give the link.

This is a great paintable terrain adition!

Thanks Pat, I've just d/loaded it, I too would be wary of posting other peoples files without permission, I've been playing The Sims for far too long not to know that this can cause outrage amongst creators,. SimCity: Societies creators are probably not so anal with their stuff but best to play safe. Agreed Happy

     Hi Pat,
I Finlay broke down and ordered SimCity: Societies, I didn't entertain buying any Sims games before now, but that is another story and personal choice.
So now I ventured into the forums modding section through this link for concrete variation but prior to getting my disc and just see whats up with it. I found numerous mod packs. Question ???
Where do these mod's originate from, are they hidden in the game ?? ,  there are quite a few and as numerous styles etc.., I suppose that I already answered this, but am asking anyway.
Plus another question is, could you list others you had found as appealing here for me ???

Jam, the best thing to do is go to the tilted mill forum and you will see a number of different modders who make great stuff...Calypso, Sim2K, a few others, who just make great mods...the key for me is to see that in the description, they don't REPLACE anything...that way you get more content instead of overwritten content!

hope that helps,
pat!

    OK Pat,
I'll just look around, seems to be allot and stashed away in groups too, very cool, providing you have had no troubles with any specific ones I'll just go ahead and go for it, thought I saw a comment like that.
Believe it or not I had only one other second hand Sims disc years ago, I think this one will be so much better  Questioning.
     Thanks

Jam, make sure you download the mod remover....for anyone who created their mods correctly (and most do), the mod remover is a desktop icon that then allows you to remove a mod you install that you may not like!

later,
pat!

I usually don't worry about it as long as I give credit where credit is due.  Since they posted on TM's website and not their own, it's not like their trying to keep control of the distribution of the file like the sims sites do.  I think primarily the sims creators get upset simply because most of them just skirt the laws and the EULA by taking donations for their sites and then give access to download their creations for it. (believe me when I say it can be a big money maker for some sites).

Anyway, I can't seem to get any mods to work since installing destinations, none of them show up in the mod manager for some reason.

What?  You mean I have to do more than actually just install the game to make it all work? wink
