 Happy Dance
Happy New Year to you too Sandra.  I hope its a good one

The board has gone strangely quiet everyone is either seriously partying or seriously gaming or a mixture of both.

MaxBeta thanks for all your informative answers and replies, lucky ole you living out in Pasadena nice and sunny and warm lovely part of the world.  I was out in California some years ago and enjoyed my stay there immensely but shame on you admitting to spending 400 hours plus on The Guild I can see its got amazing depths and am looking forward to getting involved in it

Best Wishes

Yes..it does seem quiet.. no wild parties here in my part of the Pacific Northwest, Oregon.  Some of us are in the Football season winddown with Bowl games daily.. so many distractions on top of the Holiday spirit.   wink

Good to have another gamer aboard here on CB's Fan supported forums.. and I admit to many many hours of playtime when the game has the capacity to deliver the entertainment.  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

Happy New Year Sandra !!

Well I was sober actually, on New Years eve.
Only drank some  fake Champagne  ( with no alcohol ). It's called  Pommac here. An old softdrink here in Sweden. Taste very good for
being a non alcoholic drink  Happy Dance

So here I am at 8:45 AM with no hangover, that feels great. A nice start for 2008  Holiday Presents .

Well, I had a party! I watched an old John Wayne movie called The Angel and the Bandit which was a real hoot, and had a piece of lovely cake that my neighbor brought over unexpectedly. The movie had the charm of an old western (because it is an old western), complete with fist fights, chase scenes, plenty of great scenery (New Mexico and Arizona), and of course, a great moral at the end. It was a lotta fun! Then the cake..... The cake! It was from a superb bakery, was colorfully decorated, yummy, and huge!  I think I put on 5 pounds!  Agreed Happy

Though the cake was decorated, I was not. I did not drink or smoke, so no hangover today. Just the usual horrible pain upon waking which is already subsiding thanks to percocet. So now I'm getting ready to watch the Rose Parade. At least I think I am. I don't know if it's on TV or not, but certainly hope so.

Anyway, I had a great time! I hope everybody else did too.

Happy New Year!  Holiday Presents

p.s. I tackled Ralphie and got your wallet back for you, United. But guess what I found in it! Ralphie had Sandra's phone number in it, along with plans for their next heist! It appears that these two are working in CAHOOTS!

p.p.s. I'm wondering if MaxKos and MaxBeta are related. By any chance, is your father MaxFactor?

Another year has flown by and 2008 is now upon us. As a PC gamer reflecting on 2007, I note the vast array of new games released this past year, including such long-anticipated titles as Crysis, S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Half Life 2: Episode 2. It seems 2008 will bring many more new games including such potential hits as Far Cry 2, Alan Wake, and Fallout 3 to name a few. I do admit however that I'm now more than a little worried as to what I perceive to be a decline in the overall quality of PC games. PC gaming isn't dying, but the 'consolization' of many PC games, along with a focus on the usual formula-driven storylines and get-it-out-the-door-ASAP quality control all add up to make PC games fall far short of their true potential. Here's hoping 2008 sees a return of some innovation, excitement and quality in the world of PC gaming.

In any case, I want to thank all of you for your ongoing support of TweakGuides, and wish all of you a very happy and prosperous 2008. I end this post with a quote to ponder as we see in the New Year: "Our ignorance of history makes us libel to our own times" - Gustave Flaubert.

Happy Dance  2008!!!!   Arrived and since it is Football Bowl Time..I'll be counting footballs in my sleep... tonight at least.  Been watching games ALL day LONG..and still....the Sugar Bowl is on currently..and I'm running out of snacks.. <sheesh>   Laughing

Yes UC the PC game sector has been declining for a number of years.  I don't think it Will ever completely go away.. we can hope that it will allow the games that are released for PC...(fingers crossed) are of better quality.

Tweaks can b a good thing.. though in my opinion they should not be necessary.  Sort of like buying a car without an engine.. especially with OS's they such be developed to deliver the Best performance..first..that certainly has never happened so for.

It is great that we have so many members who are very savvy and have the knowledge to assist in those times when situations arise.  I know I sure appreciate all the folks who are here and make this site a wealth of resources..no matter what the circumstance.   Thank You..!!   Smiley Blink

I think you're on to something there, United.

Holiday Presents  <-- take a good look at this guy. Notice the beady eyes, the shifty look, and what's that thing dangling from his nose?  And come on! He's just too happy! He's up to no good, I tell ya. None at all! He's suspect in a wallet robbery case. He's guilty of idenity theft (posing as one of Santa's helpers).  And he's absolutely tireless, like one of those critters in the movie, "Goonies" -- He just never stops!

I bet he's a spammer. All that Chris'maz spam you got probably came from him! Did you notice that both he and the spam showed up at about the same time? Coincidence? I think not!

There's something very wrong with this guy. What? I dunno, but I can tell you this much: United's wallet is missing; the sky is cloudy and gray; time seems to be standing still; I'm out of eggnog and Ralphie looks happy!  You do the math!

 Laughing

p.s. My mistake. The phone number says Sarah, not Sandra, and faded out at the end is 'Lee'.
