YES!

I cannot WAIT to give this a try!!!!!!  But I will NOT be attempting this unless someone at the forum exchange can assure me that it ONLY changes the mentioned buildings in the said terrain type.  I mean, I don't need a snowy bookstore in the desert!

I'll post an update if I get an answer....

later,
pat!

This mode changes the buildings...permanently..... so you'll get a snowy bookstore in the desert...i find it strange that they didn't simply add the snowy buildings...

Yeah, Zorba, you're right...that basically makes this mod USELESS.  What a bummer, it's a great idea and you'd think a simple fix to just have the snowy buildings as alternate CHOICES not replacements...

I am glad I read this. I have been trying throughout the day to download the Christmas Scene and thought it was just be in the snowy Alpine region only. The site is either having problems or extremely busy because I can't get it to download but a good thing since I didn't want that as a permanent change.

Well on a positive side though, you can download it and install it, play a wintery christmas themed game, then when you wish to play other types of non wintery maps, simply use the mod removal tool to remove it and it will revert back to the original buildings.  I look upon it as just a temporary mod to fool around with if you are the kind of person that plays a particular map only briefly.  If on the other hand your the sort of person that plays multiple types of maps in one night, then this might not be for you since you'd have to use the MRT to remove it else have snowy buildings in some of your more temporate climate maps.

I like the holiday mod, I started a new game (Alpine) and it was a pure white snowy ground cover, (which IMO they should have had in the first place), the few buildings which had snow on them looked very nice, it had a lovely festive feel to it,I know I'll have to remove the mod if I want to play a desert scenario, but I don't mind that,
It took me ages to d/load the mod as well. I think somethings wrong with the site, I tried for 4 days Flaming Mad Flaming Mad
