Yes I like listening to music too. It's just sad they don't make so many real hits anymore.

The reason is that I believe most young / even adult people, is downloading the MP3's illegally  Crying

This keeps the bigger record Companies from investing / producing Music. Even from very good and promising artist / bands ....
Both the artists and the record Companies will get so small profits. It's not just worth all the work there is to make really good Music.

A free translation from what young people say:   "They are Tanking music from the net"  Thumbs Down

They are probably working on how to fix this situation ---- i just wonder what might come up.

Maybe they force us to buy a CD / Month  Laughing

I've been a proponent of this fact for years now:  The digitization of music is killing artistic integrity in the recording industry.

As a child of the 80s (culturally speaking) I cannot tell you how disappointed I am w/ the state of today's music industry...

Yes I Agree Pat !!
20 -25 years ago there was high quality music being produced. And many artists to choose from....

Today there is long times between the release of "High Quality" Music.

It's Sad, Very Sad.

Prime example...when new albums by U2 and Duran Duran are 10x deeper and better put together than albums by current popular artists, you know music has stagnated....when folks like Timbaland and Justin Timberlake are BEGGING to produce/sing/be a part of a new Duran Duran album, you know that bands that used to be taken lightly have now come full circle as the olde guard....and Brittany Spears still has a recording contract...

Yes it's a real mess  Looking around cautiously

It's like most writers would suddenly stop writing books...

Or like the best painters stopped making Paintings...

I mean Music !!  Most people listen to Music, and many wants high quality Music.

Most of the time I go back and listen to 50's -- 80's Music. It's darn good.

But I'm waiting for some New Music. There is certainly room for it !!

UC, check out two new bands:  Angels and Airwaves, and the other is Bat For Lashes...

Both unique and quality at least IMHO!

Big Smiley Grin Laughing  Gosh..I'm really out of it with current music I guess.  I saw pat!!'s list about the bat and lashes and immediately envisioned something ENtirely..well different. Been watching too many episodes of CSI...maybe?.. hehe

Is there a place where you can preview "listen" to get a sense of the music style..or platform.. I never surf... and snoop around like I use to.. to much creepy stuff to bump into..anymore.  Probably why I spend so much time here on CB site.. as if I needed an excuse.   wink
