That's strange I'm running Vista and had no problems with that update....

You didn't click too fast .... must take it very easy with Vista .... It's allergic to fast clicking.

I figured out what was wrong, I had the no-cd.exe in place, and forgot to put the right .exe back before trying anything, and therefore the installation must have thought it was corrupted... anyway, I just reformatted my hd, as it was about time I did so, so I wont be playing any sim city until I go back to school, but until then I will be plenty occupied... got a few new games, which have already sucked me in.

 Holiday Presents

Hope you get it all worked out crowebird..and enjoy as much playing time as possible.. Holidays usually offer that.. and I for one take full advantage of it..

For me..I just have too many games that have "sucked me in".. and so little time.  Sounds familiar doesn't it?    Big Smiley Grin Laughing

If you can't find a certain Game Box (or the game CD), just ask your wife where it is  Laughing

I always ask my 'better half ' when I can't find a certain game, and usually she will find it for me  wink

It becomes more of a problem when one of the 4 legged children have dragged the box off into the bushes somewhere in the back yard or worse yet, buried it back there.  Then it doesn't matter how good women are, they are no match for the 4 legged childrens hiding games.  We've been looking for a mocasin slipper now for about 2 years.

It sounds like you need a safe  Laughing
But I know you have a substantial number of games. That safe will be both very big and expensive....

Yeah, I'd need one like my parents have in their house.  I was astonished to see their safe one day, it's taller than 6 feet and about 3.5 or 4 feet wide and as deep.  It's absolutely massive.  Definitiely nobody's going to be walking away with it.

My safe here is smaller than our microwave at something like 1.5 cubic feet and only holds important papers.  At one time a thief could just pick it up and take it, but now it's been bolted down into the cement to try to prevent that.

Is criminal rate high in Palm Springs ?

I remember LA, just walking on Sunset Boulevard was pretty spoky at times.

Almost like the "girls on the street" was among the more nice people  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

Neh, we have our moments with murders and what not and Desert Hot Springs is known to be the drug den of the desert area here but in general the ones that get robbed are the average joes, the ones that have no security system.  My parents are well protected with security systems, armed body guards, and they both sleep with guns in their nightstands, but I think my Dad is very cheap and doesn't like to pay a bank to hold their jewlery and other expensive small items so he has that big safe at home instead.  Plus with all the important documents that he has from his business's and land ownership he needs someplace large and safe to keep it.  Plus I think it came out of one of his auto dealerships when he sold them to Sonic, and he kept the safe.

In general you can walk down Palm Cyn at night and really enjoy it.  We often go to the street fair on Palm Cyn on thursday nights and it's a lot of fun and a nice environement.  On the other hand I wouldn't be caught dead walking down Sunset blvd at night, and sometimes not during the day either.  Hollywood is a disgustingly dirty impoverished place no matter how they might try to make it seem otherwise.  They clean it up for the oscars and other awards right around the places where they hold those awards ceremonies but once they are done they revert back to dirty stinky places again.
