A try at an authoritarion city....

"The workers MUST understand that life is what we say it is.  Happiness is relative, dissatisfaction criminal.  It will take time but we will mold them, they will continue to come and we will prosper."

The first, the city is planned...

The second, a smaller housing district for the original families...

The third, city life in government apartments...

The fourth, we will allow them their, um, distractions...

The fifth, among the government apartments, we laid out a park...

The first, at night, the city takes on a different feel...

The second, life at dawn...

The third, the cube apartments house hundreds...they're 'adequate' for the nominal worker..

The fourth, FINALLY my streets evolve!  These streets, with their spotlights and security cams, are wonderfully detailed!  Do the workers even notice?  We certainly hope not...

The fifth, from the Dorgen River our new bridges have a unique beauty...

Five more!

The first, the glare of the night lights show the way for our sims to find small things to do...

The second, yet still, the workers mostly sleep...as they should.

The third, our stoplights resemble something from War of the Worlds and our nighttime scenes actually are quite stunning!

The fourth, South Dorgen Park

The fifth, North Dorgen Park

As usual those are great screenies.  If you aren't a city designer in real life you should be  Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

The city looks like Nazi World.  Very interesting.

Are all the signs, etc in the game in a foreign language?  I never know what they say.

Yes indeed, I actually do have a life.  I build and rule mighty empires.  Without me all those little people would have a very hard time of it.

Yep, all the signs are SimLanguage, except for the stop signs, which CB made a mod for to say stop!

I find this authoritarian theme the hardest to deal with.....

The last!!!!

The first, Drudgery Square is fully realized...

The second, from the children's play zone we can see ‘Better Surveillance Via Dirigibles!’

The third, finally, upon reaching our goals, my citizens award me with my Master Manipulator Award!!!!

The fourth and fifth..."Okay, Fireworks for everyone and then take a day off!!!"

I must admit, this was a HARD city to build as far as keeping my mind in tune with it and not getting overly repetitive, although I did in spots....Still, it was a different build than all the others as you really do need to focus on having folks not too happy!  Which for me is hard!

later,
pat!
