Laughing DECAF!!!  ...no caffeine ..so what can a good cup of Java do without it.. Sweathing from thinkng hard... IF my cup doesn't get my eyes to look like this ----->    Suprised    <------ then I'm wasting my time, might as well drink brown water and take up smoking.  Still it won't be the same.

..all kidding aside.. Since I have trouble sleeping I do cease to drink (my kind of coffee) around 3PM.. go the rest of the day with juices and weak Green Tea.  I don't need to buy Designer Bottled water..my tap water is excellent.   Smiley Blink

**COFFEE SNOB ALERT***

Okay, I 'LOVE' coffee...BUT because of the caffeine, I STOP by 10 a.m.  Period.

I have a few rules for coffee...And yes, it's ANNOYING AS HELL, to quote my wife and friends....

1) If buying coffee away from home, buy at a REPUTABLE LOCAL coffee shop OR AT LEAST a place that serves Green Mountain Coffees (a fair trade/sometimes organic company)

2) If no local shoppe available, Strarbucks will do Big Smiley Grin Laughing Big Smiley Grin Laughing

3) Never, ever, drink decaf Big Smiley Grin Laughing Sticking Tongue Out

At home, I:

1: Chill my water overnight before brewing

2: Grind my own beans using ONLY a burr grinder, never a rotary blade

3: Only buy my beans from a local roaster.....SOMETIMES I WILL buy at the local Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts but only whole beans

4: Only use a coated gold filter

5: Only use filtered water

Yep, that's ANNOYING and I'm very sorry Looking around cautiously Looking around cautiously

Can you imagine how much it SUCKS for me when I travel????

later,
pat!

Ah that was a surprise--- Pat is a Coffee Master  wink Thumbs Up

We have a coffee making Factory here in town.
Their brand is " Gevalia " .
You may find it in very well stocked stores in the USA...

Anyway if there's a light northern wind and they are roasting the beans there.,
It fills the air with a very nice smell of New Roasted Coffee.

It can make you run in and make coffee very quickly  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

Good to see i'm not the only 'coffee snob' out there!

you bet max, it IS a ritual, but I get up so early, I literally take my burr grinder into the downstairs bathroom to grind my beans without waking anyone up!

And greetings all from Cedar Falls, Iowa, and the 2008 National Duals!

later,
pat!
