I'm not sure which I should be suprised at, my laptop being able to run SimCity: Societies or that SimCity: Societies will run on my laptop.

Granted I turn off shadows, and AA and turn AF to low but most of the rest of the settings are on medium and it seems to run okay (gotta give it a real stress test though to see if it will crash or not) but it scrolls around okay, and the only thing I struggle with is that the zoom level is way too close with a screen res of only 1280*800 but I'll mod it to see how far I can go with the laptop before it becomes unbearable with a distant zoom level.  Im thinking it might even be okay at double zoom.

I have to go away tommorrow for a couple days on business so Im taking the laptop which I havn't even turned on in a couple months now, and am loading up a few games to occupy my night time while staying in some junky hotels, well at least they'll have internet access so that's a good thing, but Im really just flabergasted that the laptop will run SimCity: Societies.

Though I don't know how to get it to zoom in and out with a touchpad or with the keyboard, can only use the button to do so on the interface which I really don't like.

Woops, apparently the game decided that the most restricted camera view would be best, once I changed it to normal the zoom level seems appropriate for this size screen, so now if I can figure out what hotkeys will let me zoom in and out I'd be good to go and probably wouldn't have to install any other games as I could play SimCity: Societies for the nights that Im stuck in a hotel.
