We all know what happens when a couple key members here get involved in a particular game don't we?  Yes, they clog up the rest of the forums with their talk about whatever game they might be playing and try to get me to dust off the cobwebs of my wallet and let loose some more of my money to buy the latest and greatest game that they are playing but they also manage to dominate whatever forum happens to be the most active.

So... To try to pre-empt some of the members (*cough* Pat!, Exyll, MaxBeta et' all *cough*) and accomodate some more great games on this website, I have moved two of the games that many of us play and created a forum for the latest one.

I have created a Roleplaying Games category, moved "The Guild", "Two Worlds" into it, and created a new forum for the game "The Witcher" so that they have a permanant place in our community.

Yes, I know they are not City Building games in the strictest sense of the words and two of them are not even close to being city building games but our community I believe has evolved beyond just a city building gaming community so ....   That is what I have done.  I may have to start looking for a new domain name that would encompass all of the style of games that we play so as to keep everything topical and to avoid anybody yelling bloody murder and heresy that we should actually host discussions on topics that arn't city building related Wink

Anyway, enjoy the new forums and the games themselves.

CB.

Looking around cautiously ...yeah..about dust and cobwebs on wallets...like, when?  ..*faints*  certainly not on any gamer I personally know...

Umm?

I didn't see your CB nick on that list of member names ..CB... hehe ..though many of us also do play MMO's.. well maybe not as much as you and yours..  Big Smiley Grin Laughing  ..of course this just my lighthearted way of pointing this out.  But admittedly guilty..but not to promote anything facetiously...most of us cannot help ourselves as it is part of the player's addiction syndrome.. but you should know that... right?   Smiley Blink

Most Importantly: I appreciate you providing these specific Forum venues.. as we are gamers with many colored coats..feathers..whatever,  you included of course.   wink

I think anyone who is an active member or even a lurker..can surmise we are a community of City Builders... who do play "other" games.  I'm no sure I would encourage the thought of having to go elsewhere to "post" about these other games that fall out of City Building genre.  Just my opinion that a mature membership most likely has the intelligence to realize the situation with how games arrive and have their moments of interest.  The only downsides is... if you are proposing to attract non city builders for another community that's a whole different deal..  In any forum setting an OT or Open Discussion Forum venue is necessary... so IMHO wonder if it will actually make this forum more pure to it's http "name" in the end..or just create the aura of fear to a poster...worrying about their "subject" threads might possibly be critiqued as OT to some degree.

My personal thanks.. as always.

Yeah yeah, gab gab gab! It's only so that I can delete all the topics in one fell swoop when those games pisses me off so much that I need some sort of revenge against them. wink

Nah, I figure we are small enough here to be able to talk about many games as we do without a problem.  I often feel overwhelmed when I go to an official forum and speak whats on my mind about a game that I'm playing because there are people that try to defend the game with their life just about and it makes for a very uncomfortable situation in my opinion.  I believe I can't be alone in this feeling and that many people that go to official websites and say anything slightly against what the defenders feel and they get roasted alive for feeling differently about  a game and all the fans of that game come to it's unnecessary rescue and chime in on how the poster is wrong and this, that and the other thing.  We don't have that fear over here I would hope since we are not sponsored by any particular developer or publisher, so people should be able to speak there minds and I think opening up and breaking away from just CB games around here is probably the right thing to do to at least keep some semblance of organization which Im a nut about, and which often this forum tears at my nutty side when I see things getting discheveled so I do what I can and it makes me feel a bit better when I look at it and participate.

Have a great day.

Chalmers, while we don't mind anybody necro'ing a post, please try to refrain from bringing a 3 year old post back from the dead unless you have something constructive to add to it.

I appreciate your enthusiasm but theres really no need to post in this thread that was close to 3 years old and likely the information has changed many times over to where it's not even relevant or accurate anymore.

Thanks and welcome if I haven't said it before.
