Well, I thought I'd give this unique style a shot!  For me, this is MUCH MORE difficult as I kind of feel connected to the small town sytle a la Northland Creek!  But here goes, Glumburg!

First, it begins on a bay!

Second, near the intersection of the Tubeway and Government Ave., the video arcade!

Third, looking down Government Ave, I was stunned to see all the spotlights on my banks and other buildings!

Fourth, later from across the bay, you can see Governement Ave. in it's techno glory!

Fifth, from the hills northwest of the government sector...

More from Glumburg, including a very strange street evolution!

First, fireworks over the bay, celebrating Pruductivity!

Second, the sleep tubes!  Sims hate 'em, but they hold a ton and are fun to watch!

Third, My first clue that my city was changing...check out the futuristic cop car...and more hippies!!!!

Fourth, we have our street alteration!  What a bizarre bridge!

Fifth, notice how neon everything got..neon tubes in the windows of the homes, covering the firestations...everything has an eclcectic neon glow...

Two more!

The first, Rimney Ave,. which runs along the northside of Governemnt Lane...

The second, note the details on the streets, with the steam!  My question...why in a cyber city is their so much litter?  I have zero pollution yet this ultra kewl sims just throw crap all over the place!

later,
pat!

Glumburg takes off!

First, looking south down Tubeway (an homage to Gary Numan!)

Second, Tubeway from above...the neon details in this style are awesome!  The more I get building opportunities, the better I like this style!  This is a style you have to STICK with and feel out, the more options that open up, the more it begins to feel 'right'.

Third, a view from the Tubeway acroos Crodunk Bay towards the more upscale living accomodations!

Fourth, fire in the Tubes!

Fifth, looking north down Tubeway

pat!

Excellent  Thumbs Up .
As  you have named your streets, can you physically do this in game also?  Yep, That bridge looks very unique. With this theme I sort of half expect an alien space ship to visit you....
I've been studying the buildings in my candy land today and also in your screenshots, and I am quite blown away by the detail that has been put into these buildings by the game developers !!!   That's what I call dedication Happy Dance

Thanks Crowebird!

Thanks RhiannOn!  Unfortunately, I cannot name the streets in the game (you can name the buildings and the sims!!! but not the streets!)...all those names are in my own over active yet fertile imagination!!!

Glumburg Reaches Its Zenith!  And my Alien's limits  Big Smiley Grin Laughing Big Smiley Grin Laughing

Pushing 20,000 folks and high rises and skyscrapers to the limits, the lag got really really really, well, laggy!! Big Smiley Grin Laughing

But no worries!!!! Playing at 1900x1220, it's no one's fault but my own!

The final shots from Glumburg

First, what on EARTH is that green goop in the corner flowerboxes?  Good lord that's what the C.H.U.D.'s eat, I think!!!

Second, Glumburg reaches its zenith and celebrates the arrival of a Network Knight!!

Third and fourth, two shots form Hi-Tech Corners, the section of town that 'put me over the top'!

HA!  Good one Sandra!

At 20,000, I admit that if I zoomed out too far, i was CRAWLING along!  But zooming in I could zip around the city w/ no problem!
