Last night I built up a city to around 7,500 population.   While doing this, I typically have the mood indicator that normally flies over the sim's heads turned off in the Special Maps Display options.

From time to time though, I notice a single citizen is sad or has gone rouge, by looking at the mood meter at the bottom of the screen.   Clicking the little sad yellow face or angry red fce in the mood meter is supposed make their smiliey face evident and bouncing, but I never seem to find the sad or angry little dude or dudette. . .   Other than trying to find their yellow or red little smiley face, is there any other way to focus on that specific sim to try and determine why they're sad or angry?

Wizaerd, I'm not sure but I think if the sad or angry sims are INSIDE a building, you can't see them....if they're walking, you see the smiley!

Actually, I feel pretty lucky if I ever see them walking around.   Hard to believe that a yellow or red mood indicator would be so hard to see, but it is a pretty big city. . .   I guess that focusing one a single sad sim isn't what the game's really about, but I'd sure like to know why he/she gets sad. . .

 Hello and Welcome
I haven't built a huge city yet but this may help a little bit. This is what I have found so far.

I've seen the angry smiley when folk come out of "the Dive" as they are drunk and they will  pick fights.
The sims can become sad if there are not enough "venues" and  hippies will move in to them so there are less seats for the "normal" sim, so more venues are needed.
Pollution creates unhappy sims.
Folk become hunched over if they are ill.
