Being me, I like to research a game a lot before I get it, pretty much I dont want to feel like I wasted any money, expecially considering how little of it I have. . .  but the more I look at and read, I think I will enjoy this game, seems like the nice actual city builder I am looking for, and with the mod community the game can pretty much become how I want to play it over time as people create more mods.   Anyway, best buy just sent a 10 dollar gift card so I think I will be heading there soon, maybe I can join the black friday and get it even cheaper :) granted I probably wont wake up till 12 in the afternoon anyway.   So here is to being able to join you in this game soon.

OUTSTANDING crowebird!  Remember, this is a more organic city builder...more about the flow of energies and moods than a bottom line dollar wacther..of course w/ the maintenance mod, you can make it whatever you want!  Check out my sreenies for Northland Creek....the details, options and opportunities are endless and you have to place EVERY SINGLE THING...buildings, etc., then shift and change, subtley, not in size, function or form, but in looks and how well the operate...

later,
pat!

Surprisingly enough, I find a lot of aspects about this game more challenging than I thought it'd be, balancing out the societal values but still trying to build the type of city you want.   I wish the building menu was a bit easier to look through and use, but overall, I'm extremely pleased I picked this up.

My only gripe is when I get a bulletin that says such and such building is now available, trying to find that building later one is a PITA.   For example, I got a message saying a hot air balloon ride was unlocked, but damned if I can find it anywhere.   I went through each and every building screen, and couldn't find it. . .

yea, once I get it I am going to play a run through to get a feel for it, but I have a feeling I will be adding the maint.  mod.   Anyway, I have been looking at your screenies pat and they look great!  Hope to be able to contribute to that soon, just praying that the best buy does not run out of copies on friday, they should have a min 15, but there is no way in hell I am going to be there for the morning rush.

Wizaerd, when I get those notices I generally stop what Im doing and click on it in the message and find a nice place for it right then and there, but you can sort the buldings list using one of the icons at the top, if you use the one that sorts by name then later on you can open the list and type in like "P" and the game will scroll down to the P section, type in "PO" and you'll find the police building in the top row of the list.

I didn't know that typing in letters would move your positioning in the group, that's good to know.   After I got the message, I finished what I was doing, then opened up the buildings group with no category filtering, which should have listed everything, then sorted by name, but I still couldn't find any hot air balloon ride.   No real biggie for now. . .
