Mappam, start here: http://www.tiltedmill.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=39 and you'll have to read through some of the topics.  There are some pdf documents over at the Simcity site somewhere but I don't have the urls to them saved but they were all about naming conventions and not much about actually doing the job.

I've created a stop sign mod that can be downloaded off of the simcity exchange look for the one by mediadezines if interested.  It purely only changes the stop signs in the game to actually say "STOP" on them.

I've also created a warm brown brick paintable texture for the game that looks nice IMO in the game however Im struggling trying to make the name come up in the game above the texture.  It's only showing the brick texture preview in the terrain selection window but not the name, once I've done with that, I'll release it and IMO it's scaled to the right size unlike "That_Guys" terrain set which is not scaled properly with the size of the buildings in the game.

Okay I belive that this will now show the name of Brown Bricks in the tiles properties.  The brown bricks can be found under the paintable terrain in the game (the paintbrush area).

I know this may sound a silly question CB, but where do I put this file, it's not d/loading as a self importing file, but once I know where it goes I will never ask this question again Big Smiley Grin Laughing Big Smiley Grin Laughing

CB - I agree - I loaded the 'pac' and then uninstalled it - for the same reason you did - scale is WAY OFF!

I went to the link for TitledMill and tried to find something about the walkway/grass etc mod and didn't have any luck  Questioning I could find stuff on Texture of buildings...

Part of the problem I am having is XMLDb/game/cultural Graphics Effect folder only has the CyberPunk High impact folder (.xml file) in it and I think I must need something else????

EDIT - NEVER MIND - I was looking in the wrong place = I needed to be in ProgramFiles area under ElectroncArts folder!!!

Now I will see what I can find - whew - why do I think it is going to be One-Of-Those-Days.....

I am not having any luck with loading this file either...

Just a pop-up message that says something like "this is not an EA do you still want to load" I click yes and Nothing Happens! Just goes away.

It should go away.  That means the EA loader has put it in the right place and the next time you start the game the game will unpack the file and put everything where it needs to go and it will be available in the game.  This is the normal procedure for loading mods.

Sandra, just save it to your hard drive and when it's downloaded just double click on it,  it will then disapear and load in the game the next time you start the game.
