Five more, including my first environmental/street evolution!

First, the rough section of town grows w/ more of the businesses you'd expect!  Loan shark, a religious book store and more!

Second, pre-evolution, the plasma and electronic signs!

Third, fourth and fifth, various shots showing the first evolution I've encountered!  My dirt roads out in the rough section of town have NOT undergone any change!

later,
pat!

And Wellstone Beach gets me the Mayor medal!

The first,  Nuclear Power and tenaments...a dangerous mix?  All I know is everyone in THIS neighborhood is using that lil liquor store there a lot!

The second, The financial district to the upper right at night

The third, First Avenue at 5 a.m.!

The fourth, the financial district at night again!

The fifth, Suspension bridge is born!

And the last as the city celebrates my Mayoral Status!

The first, fireworks in the distance, looking through the bridge

The second, a nifty night shot through the bridge.

The city population was above 10,000...yep I had some lag!!!

But all in all a neat try...the roads evolved to what I showed you earlier, nothing nearly as drastic as what the other tries did.  I'm not sure if that's just the nature of a capitalistic city or (my guess) the effects of that lil' slum I had going on up north!!

I will tell you, the details in the slum areas and the businesses that catered to that area were FANTASTICS.  I'm itching to trying it on paved roads to see what happens to those roads!

Max, I would think that TM designed the game to be playable to at least the last trophy that can be won.  So if the last trophy needs a population of 20k, then I would assume that's all they designed the game to be playable to, however if the last trophy requires a population of 200k then .......

I havn't checked, I just know that certain trophys or rewards require a population count.

Dang it, I meant to lay down for a one hour nap and found that I napped for over 5, now Im all groggy and it's only 5:45pm, too long till bed, and too early to be feeling so groggy.

These are awesome.  You have inspired me to start a new capitalist city and this time pay more attention to the changes.  My city is cramped with no layout really so I missing stuff.  Again, great job.

One of my biggest problems is that I cram in as much stuff as possible without leaving room for extras.  Im installing windows vista right now to see if the game will stop crashing under vista instead of xp, so hopefully I'll start a new game and this time leave much room for the extras and stop trying to be so miserly with optimizing my income by cramming in so many buildings as I can.  I'll try to make it more livable as I would like to live in the town.

Yup, I tried it after reinstalling XP and after about 50 minutes I stood back and took a look and even though I tried to make it nicer, it still ended up being all crammed together.

I am looking forward to when people start to create more prop type mods, things that could be placed in say a houses "back yard" area like a swimming pool maybe, or a junglegym or a gazebo etc.  That would "REALLY" flesh out the overall look of the game IMO.  Oooh the possibilities are nearly endless.

I like the swingsets, merry go rounds, tether balls, barbecue pits...little playground stuff to put in the back yards, but definitely more options for the families would be GREAT!
