How are you taking the screenshots without the interface down at the bottom of the screen?  Also how does one turn off the icons that appear above the buildings indicating daytime business etc.

 Hello and Welcome
I found this got rid of the smiley faces in game:
Below "Venues" icon is a box which shows  people figures either angry, happy etc..if you click on a figure and it shows like a halo round the head it will be showing the moods via smilies in game.

Plus at bottom, left side of screen there is a number of icons.  The one you want looks  like a wine glass (this icon is placed at top of other icons and is called "Special map".)  When you click on this it will bring up a window with lots of icons which will show different stuff in game when clicked on.  I think what you are after is here.

What does this sign  above the general store mean?  Have you watched how the folk walk?  Some are very funny  Big Smiley Grin Laughing  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

ps I found it..it helps to read the manual properly  Bashfull Female    Laughing. It means "venue is full"

Thanks, yeah I found all those icons on the left bottom of our screen, by turning off one of them all the icons at the tob of the buildings were removed.

RhiannOn, that means the venue is full.

I get that a lot with florist venues.  I had one map where I placed no less than about 12 florists in a row on a street and al of them filled up as soon as they were placed.  I guess these simmeys really love their florists.

RhiannOn!  Thanks for the tip!  I'm looking forward to some screenies w/out the little icons!  As an aside, however, the Icons are VERY WELL DONE.  See-through and quite nifty in how they work!

I like the icons for the most part but some of them are just too large and it would be nice if they were about half the size that they are, especially for that sunny face with the padlock, that thing IMO just seems enormous.  But the first thought that came to mind when I saw all the icons above buildings was Anno 1601 and I was scratching my head and thinking "great, they've put in some cryptic icons that I havn't a clue what they mean".  That's when I created the pdf of the icons Glossary from the manual so that I could print it out to a full page of paper and use my new (new to me) lamination machine to laminate the thing to be spillproof, foodproof, doggie drool proof, and vomit proof (in UC's case) and now I can quickly glance over at it which sits taped to the side of my spare computer on my left in perfect plain site and know what they mean.

Oooh, where did all that come from.  I just wanted to say that the icons would be better IMO if they were about half the size Laughing

CB...I completely agree...half the size would be perfect, then you basically leave them all one!

And if I had a lamination machine, I'd be laminating everything!!!!! Big Smiley Grin Laughing Big Smiley Grin Laughing Big Smiley Grin Laughing
