Is there allot of Text to read in the game  Questioning

If there is I feel I want the English version of this game !

I believe that SimCity: Societies is translated to Swedish if I buy the game here....

Even Sim City is translated, and the quality of that translation is ranging from good ---> terrible  Laughing

But the worst case was Black & White. People still have nightmares after playing that game in Swedish  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

Yeah theres a lot of text, most of it telling you what the buildings benefits or downfalls are, many tooltips too.

But not a lot of text like a story or anything like that, but much text to description the buildings.

 Hello and Welcome

Does SimCity: Societies have any funny/quirky interactions/responses from the folk etc like the excellent game rollercoaster tycoon3 has?  eg if you clicked on a person in RCT3 they giggled or followed your mouse pointer  Big Smiley Grin Laughing (not that I am expected that at all  in SimCity Societies but just more curious about any responses)

Not that I've noticed RhiannOn, but that brings me to one point that is horrid in the game....  The simmish language in this game is like a cheap knock off IMO compared to say "the sims" game.  It's like that knock off sims game that came out a couple years ago (The Singles), and how when they spoke it was grating on the nerves, the simmish in this game is very similar to that.  The one big thing that the sims games got right was their simmish, it wasn't annoying to me  at all, but in this game I dare not click on a sim for then I have to listen to them attempt to speak some simmish!  Yuck!

Woohoo it's arrived installed and humming away happily, but.............
hmm, I see what you mean by the simmish language...I can't understand a bloomin' thing  Looking around cautiously except for the giggles.  I think I would have preferred the bubble speech, but never mind.

In the tutorial there is a horse and cart and a truck...is there anyway to start in a certain time period where there is just horse transport and the people/buildings represent that particular time period? I couldn't see anything like that in the manual..mind you I have only just skimmed thru it

I haven't gone "wow" with this game yet as I have really only just scraped the surface, AND I am trying very hard not to be too judgemental or compare it with simcity 4.

Well onto the main part of the game now... I'm going to attempt a spooky theme, but not too sure how to start with the buildings for employment to keep with the theme.  I have found the haunted houses  tho Agreed Happy.

My road stop sign doesn't say stop in english, it's four letters but it looks to be in another language is this the "sims" language" ?

That's a good way of doing it RhiannOn, fortunately I havn't played SimCity 4 in quite a while for any great length of time so while there is plenty that is in memory, a lot of it is forgotten now, but Im still trying to enjoy the game and many things I do enjoy about it.  Maybe it's like Two Worlds and we must play for xx hours before it grows on us.  Its certainly possible.  I have noticed though that I need to be in the "right frame of mind" to play this one, whereas some other games I can just jump in and it makes me relax, for this one I need to be relaxed going in.  Im not sure what that says about myself or the game really.

Anyway, enjoy.  We'll all have to swap saved cities to see how we are doing, or maybe we'll pass around a city and everybody gets it for xx days and can add onto it as they like.  I think that would be a great deal of fun.
