As far as I know AVALONIA, it comes out on the 16th November (Friday), usually all the new games come out on a Friday over here, I was in the "GAME" store and they said the 16th.

Someone sounds to be getting very antsy to get the game.

I'm just dying to know if it has any form of micromanagement and how much from the old SC games has been removed and or added onto.  I am also hoping it's not like a city life clone because I really didn't much care for city life with it's social factions constantly bickering all the time because there was one house (which I couldn't control anyway) that decided to build in the blues when they should have built in the reds area and driven to work over there in the blue collar area.  No more of that thanks.

So when is official day here in the states? Tommorrow or the day after?

When I paid the clerk at bestbuy for the preorder I asked him what it meant, and how would I know that the game had arrived and he didn't have a clue, he said, "Im sure you could just come in and ask any employee and they could tell you if it's in or not", Im like, "excuse me but Im not driving 12 miles down here to find out it's not in yet, what is the real way to find out if the preorder has arrived, will you send an email, or phone me or what?"  I got back a blank stare from him and knew that it was pointless asking him any more questions on the subject.

I would have thought they would take my name and number and call me when it arrives but they didn't.  I guess I just wait till tommorrow, or the couple days after and make the drive down there and hope that they havn't just sold out all the copies instead of holding onto them for the preorder people like they should and like gamestop does.  When I preorder from gamestop they call me at home when the game arrives, seems best buy should be doing that too and I may have to make a complaint about it to the manager IF the game is sold out and I have my preorder receipt (which I do).

I didn't like City Life either CB, I only played the demo, but that was enough for me, I never did buy the full game, so horrors of horrors if SSC is a City Life and TCNY thrown together, my worst nightmare

I'd suggest calling bestbuy on the day of release and demanding to know if it's in stock emphasising that you have to drive 12miles to pick it up, and are they willing to pay for the petrol you waste if it's not in stock, although preordering a game means that they should save it for you, there's always some retard member of staff who'll sell it to another gamer, if this actually does happen, complain loud and long to the Manager about his inept staff, you never know they might just give you the game for free to shut you up.
