My guess is that Pat! will get the game first.  Unless of course some of us are going to camp the stores the night before to be sure of getting a copy on release day.

I may do that purely for fun, take the new truck down to the best buy parking lot and have a tailgate party the night before and see just how fun or unfun it is to sleep in the truck or in the bed of the truck.  Of course if they have the restrictions of no overnight parking then I guess I wont.  I'll have to go down there today to pick something else up and see what the signs say.  Im in the mood for a tailgate party.

I need a demo first, I've got a feeling I won't like this game much, but of course if I'm wrong I'll be the first to admit it and eat crow (or humble pie) whichever is on the menu

Might as well just resolve to buy it Sandra, it looks to be a pretty bleak holiday gaming season with not much on the horizon.  I think that's the way that Im heading.  I've already got the preorder so what's another $40.00 right.  Now if there were other games coming out soon than I might skip it, but there isn't that I've noticed so it might offer some entertainment for the price of the purchase though I think (without playing it of course ) that the price of $49.99 is a wee bit on the high side, I think it would have been better off at $39.99 but then again Im a cheap son of a gun.

I know, I probably will buy it, but unless there are really exciting reviews written here, and people are raving about it, I'm still gonna wait for the demo.
PS you're right about the dismal lack of City Building games on the market, was it last year we were innundated with them?, and could pick and choose, it seems like ages ago
