Curious to see who is planning on buying Sim City Societies.

Many of us have been playing Non CB style games recently and SimCity: Societies seems to be one of the only real CB style games coming out in the near future. sooo.....

Aside from this poll....

I think this is one of those games (like Two Worlds) that is going to be heavily compared to it's predecessors and rejected by the "professional" game review sites, but might be embraced by many in the community that are not Hardcore SimCity fans.

I am definately interested in SimCity: Societies. I will pay $40.00 for it, but if it's more I'll wait till the price falls.

Smiley Blink  I'll buy it..mostly because I figure there will be some discussions about it.  I wasn't crazy about SimCity...but I did try to play most of the series.  I'm hoping TM makes this one work..we need a good builder game presently.   wink

Think I will buy Settlers 6 first and have a go at that one...

Settlers VI looks more detailed then Sim City Societies  Looking around cautiously

But if I know myself, I end up with both  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

And Yes I do think we need a city builder with a great replay value...

Out Of Topic!!

Pat I got "Emperor - Rise of the middle Kingdom" for about $6. Now my girlfriend is playing that game  Looking around cautiously
I must have missed that game when it was released --- maybe I was fooled by the title (sounds like a war game).
But I must say the game looks great. I'm peeking at her playing  Laughing

UC...for me, E:RotMK is the BEST 2D city builder EVER made and it's game play set-up (i.e., economy, the % of play dedicated to conquest) is the BEST ever.  If TM were to remake Emperor as a 3D game and tweak (i.e., make even tougher) the economy and trading, I might never play another true builder again and just stick with it!!!!

I don't plan to purchase it, not a money issue, it's an era issue.  I'm only interested in games with that take place in older eras (Pharoah, ERofMK, CotN, CIV, etc).

I agree Pat !!

It would be a blast to see E:RotMK in 3D, with today's graphics  Thumbs Up

If some company bought the rights to the game it would be possible !!

I concur.  Emperor RotMK is/was the best 2D city builder EVAH!  I can only hope that the sales of Caesar IV were at least good enough to warrant doing another CB style game in the future.
