I remember that one, Im pretty sure I still have it even.  Which must have meant that at the time I was playing it, I must have enjoyed it, else I would not have kept it.

Have you played it recently Pat!?

Well, if it hasn't been known already (though Im pretty sure you all talk in PM's behind my back) Im quite the graphics whore.  I  looked at some screenshots on the page you linked, and I think I can say with 100% certainty that I'd likely be pulling my hair out or screaming at the monitor with the how the graphics are.

There was a time when all my games were the 2D isometric type and I remember telling Sammy that 3D games will never take off and that I'll never want to play any 3D games. Yet now, I don't care to go back to playing any 2D isometric style games.  I've become quite the graphics Ho.  Although some games are just worth replaying regardless of the graphics, such as Emperor: RotMk seems to be one of those games for me.  I remember replaying it a year ago and still enjoying it.  I think Zeus and Poisidon would probably be worthy of a replay in my mind too.  I remember fondly the cartoony style of graphics in Zeus and even though others complained of it, I enjoyed them.  But from memory I don't recall Majesty being all that great of a game, I mean it was good enough to hold onto, but I don't recall it being all that great.

If you get it, let me know how you get along with it, maybe it will be worth digging it out of the garage.

I think the one Im going to reload will be Glory of the roman empire and give it another shot since that thread came up again, maybe I'll enjoy it more now.  Eeegads, between Two Worlds and playing Lord of the Rings online with Sammy, and real life work, it surely doesn't leave much time for any other games to be played right now  Smiley Blink  But I guess really, that's a good thing.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the less I think it worth while to pick up other than to just have it.  Beyond my graphics Ho'dum, with my widescreen monitor, unless the game can use the widescreen aspect, then it's really difficult for me to play them.  I tried one recently (settlers 5 I think) and it only went up to 1280*1024 which looks like shnitzel on my screen, so I uninstalled it pretty quick after installing it.  Games that don't go to 1680*1050 and with widescreen just look too bad on my monitor to get much enjoyment out of them.

I suppose I could play them on my old 19" square shaped monitor but having to reboot to get it to load up (something to do with turning off SLI needs a reboot to get my secondary monitor working) to play a game on it, isn't the most optimal solution.

I don't know if your Alien is the same way 9with regards to games that are not native resolution to your monitor, is it?

Lower non-widescreen resolutions get butchered on my alien...but anything w/ one aspect above 1,000 translates pretty darn well, except for the S...T...R..E..T...C...H...I..N...G, which can be hilarious!
