Hello and Welcome
Howdi, I have just saw this thread.
I've been wondering how you were going with trainz.    Ooooooh....I would LUV to see some pickies .... Agreed Happy.  Sounds like you are having lots of fun with your route.
Are you creating a route of a "real" place?
Yeah this game is more of a hobby and one can spend simply ages on the doing the smallest things. Definately is limited only by ones imagination.
I'm afraid I am addicted to d/l goodies from the d/l station........I'm doing that right now  Laughing.  Some shotgun shanties and one aged loco, the NSWGR 5909 and tender.  I can't resist the steam trains.

Oh well, I think I will go for a chopper ride soon  Wink

No, I'm making a fictitious place. Are you kidding? Making a real place is JUST MORE STUFF I GOTTA LEARN!  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

I been wondering where you've been. I got something for you. A couple of things actually. Now, how do I make a .cpd (or whatever it's called) so I can get it to you. I'll write a readme and zip it all so you know how to use them. One is a train crash sound you can use with the Wait for Derailment Rule, the other is audible objective information -- me saying You have a new objective, and Objective complete, then both (3 seperate wav files). Just tell me how make a cdp and I'll zip these with instructions.

Erm.... fun? I dunno. But it's keeping me busy and outta trouble!  Agreed Happy ANd it's turning out that a 12 panel is too big! Sheesh! I'm gonna be working on this forever!

p.s. Cab controls blow! Real men use CC controls.  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

Hi there

I have never made a cdp but understand it is done thru content manager.  I have found a guide for trs2006 which should help you

 http://www.auran.com/TRS2006/global/files/CCG2006.zip

Look for the heading "Packaging Files (CDP's).  Here is how to do it with CMP

Whoa 12 panels   Big Smiley Grin Laughing  you definately will be busy lol, but it does get addictive like...hmm I just might add another board ....   Laughing

Thumbs Up  Good info RhiannOn.. This Sim will always be something I can relax with.. though I'm keeping my panel limited..I still get lost or confused at times.   Laughing  But now I know how to work through it.

Thanks for be such a great resource for us.. Lengo seems to have a good handle on all that's necessary too.   Big Smiley Grin Laughing

Well, I knocked off three panels and it's still gonna take me a month to make it. So far it's looking good, but I got a long way to go.

I grabbed that zip, but I already have that file. I'll take a look, though.

After I get my route made and a few sessions for it, I'm gonna fire up Gmax and make this game more exciting. At first I thought it needs an army. Naw... that's already been done. Well, then, I thought, how about locust swarms. Naw... that's been done too. So I decided what this game needs is....... GODZILLA!  He dines on coal mines and  snacks on power lines!

 Big Smiley Grin Laughing

I'll see what I can do to make the cdp files. Look for them soon. You'll get to hear my sexy voice!  Agreed Happy

Im happy that I have the Trainz game so that maybe Lengo will share his creation when he is done with it so that we all can see what he comes up with.  Telling from the paper mache hubert that he made, it's apparent that he's got lots of talent and creativity.

Awwww shucks! You're too kind.

Here's the cdp files with a readme in a zip. The readme tells you how to use these in the session rules.

Very nice screeenie Lengo. Luv the water fall.

Thanks for the sounds also  Thumbs Up
Isn't it great how we can change the weather and how it can completely change the feeling of a route.  ie from summary to that wintery feeling etc.
I think we are really quite spoilt with this game (hobby  Laughing) and the flexibilty and resources available.
