Oh wow, that pineapple upsidedown cake sounds delicious.  I don't think I have ever tasted this cake.
 Now a sponge with jam and real cream and strawberries on top   Thumbs Up..my mouth is watering  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

 Laughing  Well CB...It took THREE Bakeries til I found MY Pinapple Cake!!   Laughing

RhiannOn.. that's just awful.. never..ever had a taste of this Cake.. that's almost unthinkable..well to me.  I love Pinapple..plus the way this cake handles it..it's very delicious..

I have a "before and after" piccies ..hehe  I skipped the main course of Dinner for DESSERT tonight.   Wink

Yup, that's how ours looks too Max, except it was really really huge, about 3 times the size of a normal upside down cake and it has merichino cherries in each ring of the pinapple.  The greatest thing about these cakes is that you can have a slice for breakfast and it doesn't feel like you are eating cake really, well... Atleast it doesn't feel like you are eating chocolate cake for breakfast.  Most cakes and myself don't get along in the AM, but this type of cake with a cup of coffee goes really well together in the AM.
