Looking around cautiously Ack!! I'm sorry Lengo, I should not post if I'm in a rush to go watch a Duck game.  I needed to get out the door by 2:30..or it's standing room only.  Hey it worked out, we Won ONE more game..pretty good for overachieving their expectations.

Explanation.. When I first decided to have a house in the Eugene area I wanted somewhere near Fern Ridge Reservoir.  So I found a place west of Eugene in the Elmira Veneta area..had a neighbor who happened to be Nokie Edwards..and having music and guitars in common, and about the same age..well that makes things just dandy.  Richardson Park is on the northwest side of the Lake..where the spillway for the Dam is located.

Depending on tour schedules Nokie has had a small gathering for family fans and friends, sort of a ..mini musical concert in that park.   Usually there's a classic car show and shine.. food vendors. and hopefully no rain... hehe...well it is Oregon, you never know.  Through the years I've just become a regular spectator but still look forward to these type of events..brings back good memories of my younger days.

I hope the previous post makes more sense now...I'll take more time in the future.. Smiley Blink

Ok. I think I see, but I'm unfamiliar with Nokie and Co. Must be pretty good though.

Have you heard of a Eugenian named David Nevue? He's a world class pianist, and his work can be found at iTunes (I was VERY glad to find that out).

Here's one of his pieces, just for you, my friend! (right click and save)

The above link will expire on March 26. I don't want no trouble!

Wink sheesh...you got me again.. there's so many aging musicians in this area, I presumed you might recognize him.  Here's a link to his home page..

Nokie Edwards

You're such a musical connoisseur that I thought his music would pop into mind..without elaboration.

..also I can add that we both have native American roots, and Chet Atkins as a musical/guitar hero..hehe

Thanks for the nice piano piece, it is very well done.  My sister still teaches advanced classical piano..I'll see if she's aware of David Nevue music.

Wink S' Ok Lengo..  I sometimes forget that it is I who started playing guitar at ten, and many of my "heros" were not the same as most boys my age.  In the early 60's Agustín Castellón Campos or better known as Sabicas...his style of play became an personal obsession for me.. sadly no one to my knowledge has mastered his style of guitar play execution.

I figure you might appreciate the value music seems to offer those who have the capacity to hear.  It really makes me sad for those who cannot ..I can't even imagine such a circumstance.
