Well I only screwed up one thing in the move to the new server.  I somehow managed to delete attachments to posts that were over 120 days old.  In each individual message it states that it was deleted by the admin because it was over 90 days but in reality it was because it was over 120 days.

Other than that the move went somewhat smoothly other than some back end MySql database problems.  And of course you can see that the theme has changed, this was because something went wrong with the old theme and it had to be ditched.  But if you don't care for the new standard you can now choose the amber theme from the theme chooser selection box on the left side of the screen and you will see the forum with the amber theme which was the original theme that we were using minus any modifications to the graphics that I had made prior to the move to the new server.

Hopefully the site will be as fast if not faster then it was on my own servers.

CB...you continue to amaze us and do us an unbelievable service.  Seriously, is there ANY way you could set up a paypal account so we can send you a lil' something to cover the time and cost and constant concern you put into this site?  I don't know...maybe that's out of line, but DAMN MAN!  This is fabulous!

It was hard to find the "Replay" button but I could see it when switching
to green   

But it might be only in Firefox (1.5.0.10) that I'm using....

Anyway a very great job 

Edit: By choosing "gold" I see the replay + other buttons clearly !!

Edit-2: Golden, Brown, Blue, Gray are clearly visible buttons in my Firefox 1.5.0.10

Yes there was/is? a problem with the reply buttons, but I think I managed to fix them for the most part, but I had to revert everybodys theme choice to this default one since it scales properly to monitor sizes, but if you still want to use the other theme you can do so by choosing it in the theme chooser box on the left side of the screen.

The civcityforums site is turning out to be a bigger job of getting it moved right now because it's database is very very large so the support peeps at our new host need to try to import it for us since I can't do it from the web, so it's taking longer than expected to get that site up and running again.

Heck Im just happy to get it off of my own home server.  After I transfer the rest of my sites to the new host later this week, Im going to be able to finally turn off the servers at home, maybe steal some ram from them to put in my own PC and save money in both electricity and our internet connection.

I think that once I turn off the business connection I can up our personal connection to 6mb connection and still save money, or I can just leave it as normal connection and drop my internet costs to a bit less than half of what we pay now.  The sites have been running on business class cable connections costing me about $93.00/month so now I should be able to reduce that to about $40.00 which will be nice.  And I can blame the host if the site is unavailable since it won't be anything on my end causing the problem

Do you have a rough estimate of when it will be completed, or do you anticipate it still being done by 10pm PST?

I would also be willing to contribute. All you would need is a donations button, linked to your paypal account. For all the time and effort you put into the different forums, contributing, no matter how small, is the least we could do.

I just sent off the latest message to my support rep, assuming he works on sundays (which I dont really assume), if all goes well, he may be able to import the database by this afternoon at which time the site should be online again.  Otherwise he may get to it tommorrow (monday) and Im still in town on mondays so I should be able to get it going once he does his part.  If it drags on to tuesday, then it probably won't be online again until late tuesday night or wednesday morning when I get back into town from my bimonthly business meetings in los angeles.

Maybe one of these days I'll put up a donate button linked to my paypal, but I've got enough to do right now
