Spring shopping lol...  Looking around cautiously well its going on autumn here in Aussieland.

I am buying Children of the nile (just waiting for it to arrive from Canada) got duped by ebay, thought I was buying from a local seller and then found out its coming from Canada... not overly happy about that.

Also looking at Anno 1703 and Stronghold.

I am a bit behind most of the people here gameswise but am having fun aquiring and playing the games that everyone has been writing about.

Will probably look at some roll playing games too.

"Seasons" is my first, (Sims2 expack)2nd March, then "Heart of Empire Rome" which if Gameplay is right, comes out 30th March, then later on in the year "Spore" and Anno 1701 Addon, that's about it this year I think, last year we were very spoiled for City Builders, this year only one on the horizon? still my pocket will be better off for it Laughing

I don't plan on buying any new games this season. Perhaps even all year. But I've given this some thought, and here's some games I wanna play.

1. Spin the bottle

2. Post office

3. Pony Express (same as #2 but with more horsing around)!

Sadly, there is nothing on the immediate or forseeable future in PC games that I wish to buy.  I figure theres got to be something out there but nothing is catching my fancy at the moment.  I may have to go back to trolling gamespy or one of it's competitors to see what else is coming out this year.

I think what Im in the mood for lately would be a really good world war 2 type of game.  I just bought Supreme Commander but I really don't care for future war games they really don't do anything for me.  Just like I didn't like starcraft when it came out.  I need something between Anno 1701 and EU3 for me to be happy I think.  EU3 is just too difficult and either too slow or too fast for me to play it and enjoy it.

I don't like wondering what some uber mechanical drone type of weapon is going to do, I'd rather have traditional tanks and armies, ships etc that I know about to play around with.  The only one that I've been toying with is something called Blitz on Berlin or something like that, though I have to read up on it some more to see if it's got some good long living game life because I don't care for games that have a limited lifespan due to the constraints of only allowing scenario play as I don't really care to play the same scenarios over and over and OVER again and again and AGAIN.

Looking like slim pickings to me this year.
