If you registered for membership on this site but have not yet received the confirmation activation email, there are 3 main reasons.

1. It ended up in your junk or spam folder, please look there to see if it's in there.

2. You did not enter your correct email address.  Please register with a new username and the correct email address and try again.

3. Your IP address and or your Email Address is listed in the Stop Forum Spam (spam protection) database as a known spammer and when either your IP address and or your email address appears in that database, your account can not be approved.  As such if you are a spammer, please move along, our community is too small for you to bother with.  If you are NOT a spammer, contact the owners of Stop Forum Spam and get your information removed from their database and register a new account.

I have recently discovered that there was a bug in our download system that would cause the users browser who is uploading a file to a sub category area in our downloads system (example: Caesar Games / Caesar 4 / Caesar 4 Mods) that would hang the users browser and never show that the upload had completed.

While indeed the upload would complete and the listing and file would be put in place, our website never informed the user and the user would think that it never happened.

This affects sub categories only, so until a fix is found I have removed all sub categories, and any information or files that people want to upload will be put into the main categories only as I have removed all sub categories.

I have also changed the maximum size of each upload to be 2MB instead of 1MB, which should be enough for almost all scenarios, mods, documents etc.

I'm not sure by what you mean that it doesn't work at all?

If you can click on the Children of the Nile download area link and it takes you to a page (even if that page has nothing listed) then it's actually working.  It's only the sub categories, or child categories that dont work at all.

However I just turned off all the child categories until we can fix this problem so if anyone (CB heres the word anyone, echoing through out the forums) wants to upload something for one of the games, then they can still do so in the parent category of each game because that part works.  I've tried this out with my regular member account (non administrator account) and uploaded a couple things.

Anyway there is a known fix for it, I've just been hesitant to install it so far because the update reported more things broken with the whole site than with it supposedly fixed, so Ive been waiting some more to see if anything else has popped up before updating.

I wanted to use the same download system that we use on the CivCity: Rome forums website but I'd have to rebuild it all over again for this website and I really didn't want to spend the time to do that if this site doesn't take off, but I may reconsider that if the download system that were using now on this website doesn't work with the update.
