The BBC have gone overboard on all things 'Rome' lately, we've had a three part series, part documentary/part live action, something else I can't remember now I think it was a sort of history of Rome, and to top it off, this marvellous series "Rome".
(Last year it was Egypt, that was very good as well.)
Watch out for these Max, probably on the History Channel and HBO.

   I saw a special IMAX presentation on Egypt years ago.. it still impresses me, the photography was absolutely stunning.  Coupled with an excellent story line..easy to follow the route of Egyptian History..so I'll always recall that experience.

Rome..no doubt will always get my attention.  I started making copies of specials on Rome years ago..just need to get them from VHS to DvD..    ..something always interrupts my good intentions..
