If you do, you need to stretch. Here's some stretching exercises for you. They's no-impact, practical, and help in numerous ways.

1. Push your vacuum around the house. This gets you some exercise, warming you up, and accomplishes something. But more than anything, it warms you up. If it doesn't, at least your carpets are clean.

2. Dust. Dust the baseboard rails on your walls and the door jam tops. You stretch both your arms and your legs. Dust high. Dust low. And again, Sweet Chariot,  you get something accomplished.

3. Get those cobwebs, whether you have 'em or not. Get out one of those static-electricity duster wands, and go around your house cleaning your cieling corners. Use your right hand for half of the job, and your left hand for the rest of the job. Do at least 18-20 corners. Even if their werent any cobwebs, you'll think there was when your'e done.

4. Take out the trash. Hey! You get at least SOME fresh air! A little light lifting hnever hurts, either. So, take the trash OUTSIDE, and linger a little. Breathe (but not next to the dumpster!

5. Strrrretch! This one costs you money, but it's worth it. Get some tie-down bungie cords, or one of those rubber stretchers from an athletic store.  You'll quickly find out how great these work, for mainly your arms and upper body, but you'll think up things to do with your legs. It's fun!

6. Play pick-up-sticks. Erm... pennies. You got a penny jar somewhere, right? Everybody does! So go get 20 pennies, then toss them on the floor. Pick them up by bending at the waist. Make small patterns first. Then a wider pattern. Try not to bend at the knees. Keep your legs spread somewhat, but not too much. Make three to five tosses and see if you can get all the pennies witihout falling. Be careful though. Don't overdo it or you'll hurt yerself.

7. Superman can fly, so can you! Get on your hands and knees. Now stick your right arm out forward, and your left leg out behind you. Do this 5 times. Then switch to the opposite limbs. Right vs left. Do this one 5 times.

8. Lets twist again (like we did in 1961). Hand on hips, you know the drill. Rotate right two or three times, then rotate left two or three times. Rinse. Repeat.

9. Walk. If the weather permits, go for a walk now. Walk at least fifteen minutes. Walk hard. Walk strongly. Get your breathing up.

10. If weather does not permit, instead of walking, try this. Go to bed. Lay on your back. Lift your legs and do the bicycle action. Do it until it almost hurts, and don't forget to breathe!

11. Twist again! Lying on your back in bed with your knees up, twist your knees from side to side.

12. Catch your breath. Get up. Get a drink of PLAIN WATER! Drink 12 ounces. Now, go lay down in front of the TV if you can stand it. If that's too terrible an exercise, lay down and listien to some tunes for 30 minutes.  Relax.

Now, you should be ready for anything. Well... maybe not anything, but you will feel better, have a cleaner house, and be ready for the rest of the day (even it it includes more sitting). And if you do the first few exercises, you'll have a spotless house within one week. Hey, you might even try scrubbibg the bathtub (but wait until your good and warmed up for this job).

Oh! And p.s. DO YOUR DISHES! It's never to late to get those done, even though it's not a lot of exercise. Besides, Mom said it's your day, so just buck up and do it.  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

Hope this helps!  Agreed Happy

 Wink Hi Lengo.

I get my share of sitting that's for sure.

I do have a "schedule" for all my chores..and do pretty good at keeping them caught up.  I do have some help when things fall behind..but generally I try my best to keep the status quo entact.

I do need to walk more..especially around this time of the year.  Nice balmy weather makes it more inviting to stroll down by the river..or just shop without using a car..that's what I do in the summer at least.  My health is my biggest concern anymore..so everyday I try to figure out what's best ..and stick to it. Smiley Blink

I certainly enjoyed the humorous way you approached all these suggestions.  All good btw..just takes a strong will to place them in action. Sticking Tongue Out

Playing RRT still?   Hope so..I've decided to play a bit this weekend.

I agree. Walking is the best exercise. Believe me! I know from experience. I like to walk in the summer too. And I ride a bike whn the weather is good enough.

No, it doesn't take strong will to do these things. It's more an act of desperation! And hey, no matter good you do your chores, you can never do 'em often enough. Besides, if you get it done ahead of schedule, then the next day you can sit all day long!  Big Smiley Grin Laughing  But, I'm just suggesting ways to kill two birds with one stone. This works for me. I get a double sense of accomplishment.

Yep! I'm still very into RRT3, but I didn't get around to it today. I've been worknig on a database to try to find out what is working for my illnesses. Somedays I'm fine. Others I'm not. And I can't figure out what's working for me or what's working against me. So, I've been trying to get Open Office Base to work. Doh! Like there's any real documentation for it!  Disagreeing Madly

BUt, back to RRT3.  My Oregon Willamette Valley is coming along fine. I've learned much about how the industries work and how to allocate percentages, set up cities, set up arreas and territories, and have FINALLY figgered out how to take over another company or merge it. So, progress is being made. I might even start the whole thing over. But first, I gotta get my database working the way I need it to.

Lets get together some time! I wrote you regarding this, but I never heard back. I'm now wondering if I really sent it. I tend to screw up a lot, so that's probably the case. Still, we's neighbors... let's get together and figger out how to take over the world. G.W. failed at this. We can too!  Agreed Happy

And back to the subject laid forth aforehand, there's lots of ways to exercise and be productive. I'm sure many others have their tricks or might be inpired to come up with some. Let's hear 'em!  No matter how you look at it, feeling good feels good -- You can't deny that! So, what's your tricks? I'm sure everybody has one or two.

p.s. I told my neighbor about the pennies game. He suggested we play together with my quarters, and play finders-keepers. What a guy! I shoulda thought of that myself (but with his quarters).   Big Smiley Grin Laughing

 Hello and Welcome Lengo

Good to see you back with RRT, and I don't have any tricks..just hope and pray everyday that I'll have the energy to do the necessay things.  I work on improving whenever the opportunity arises.. but if only maintaining the current status is all I can do..I'm happy.

Mmm?  Yes I did get your PM, must of been just before our "deep freeze"..so I'm stuck at home and had the excuse to play, play..play some more. I apologize for letting it slip my attention.  I did go out to the Gateway Elmer's Sports Place, and watch the UofO basketball team last night..they beat Stanford. that's about the extent of my getting out and about.  Mostly I go to Roseburg, or Grants Pass where the major part of my family lives..because it is school time, I only see them up here in Eugene on long weekends and Holidays..like just recently.

Thanks to your insight...I've considered multi-tasking some of my chores..I'll let you know how it works for me. Smiley Blink

Listen you!

Yer the most gracious guy I know. I like that. I want some to rub off on me.

I insist on meeting in public at least once. Lets do Hometown Buffet.  Bring a friend if you want.  I'm sure we'll have an enjoyable time.
