So curiosity has hit me...

Did you buy any great games on Steam during this Holiday sale?  If so what were they?

As for me, I didn't find anything that I wanted or didn't already have during this holiday sale.  The only game that I was considering is Saint's Row the third, but it never came down to a sale price that would have made me feel comfortable paying for it.  So it was a total bust for me on Steam this holiday.

But enough about me, what about you?

I actually already had most of the games as well, but I did manage to find a few.

I picked up a 4-pack of Worms Reloaded for me and my family to play together, it's a great hit.  I also grabbed a few very cheap indie games such as Rock of Ages, Dungeons of Dredmor, and The Binding of Isaac.  Railworks 3 was too cheap to pass up.  I also got Rainbow 6 Vegas 1&2, Hard Reset, and E.Y.E.

All in all though not a big haul this time compared to my previous spending during big sales.  Ah well, that's gotta be a good thing.

Well I went all out:

Total War: SHOGUN 2 - Ikko Ikki Clan DLC, Total War: SHOGUN 2 - Sengoku Jidai DLC, Total War: Shogun 2 - Limited Edition DLC (Hattori Clan), Total War: Shogun 2 - Blood Pack DLC
L.A. Noire
SpaceChem, SpaceChem: 63 Corvi mission
Puzzle Agent 2
The Binding Of Isaac
Demolition, Inc.
Space Pirates and Zombies(SPAZ)
X3 Terran War - X3TC and X3AP Bundle
Greed Corp
Frozen Synapse - Two Pack
Defense Grid: The Awakening DLC: You Monster!
Railworks 3: TS2012 + Horseshoe Curve
Edge
Defcon
Swords and Soldiers HD

And for me SPAZ was probably the win, ended up playing that non stop (Stem says 21 hours) - awesome indie game.
Also SpaceChem is a great puzzler - I didn't know what to expect but I really enjoy it.

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

From Steam:

Blur
Divinity II - Dragon Knight Saga
Avadon
Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword
From Dust
Railworks 3: TS2012 + Horseshoe Curve
Osmos (for someone else)
X3 Terran War - X3TC and X3AP Bundle
Knights of Honor
Sequence
Lucasarts Jedi Knight Bundle
Dungeon Defenders
SpaceChem
Universe Sandbox
Xotic
Puzzle Agent
Flight Control HD
Puzzle Agent 2
Bastion
Magicka Complete Pack

From GOG.com:

Lords of the Realm: Royal Edition
Freespace 2
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri
Caesar 3
Castles + Castles 2
Freespace + Expansion

From Big Fish Games:

Virtual City 2: Paradise Resort

About half of the GOG.com games I already own a hardcopy of but wanted it as a download, plus the convenience of DOS games being pre-setup to work with DOSbox. All in all I got everything listed here for less then $100 total. I'd say that was a good deal.

Ones I have been especially enjoying since I bought them have been Virtual City 2, Lords of the Realm 1 (this really takes me back), From Dust and Sequence.

Well, I didn't buy anything this year since I am really more of a hardcopy guy. (Hence, my shelves in my desk full of games.  Big Smiley Grin Laughing) So as of now I just have TF2 which I just recently downloaded and AA3 which I have had for a while (Both free) on Steam. (Might buy one some time I can use all of Steam's features Big Smiley Grin Laughing)
