Hi,

Does anybody know where to get or have the fix so that Industry Giant 2 can be played with modern video cards?

I dug up the disk a few moments ago and would like to play this on the new laptop that I got for christmas, but unfortunately the GTX 560m is way too modern and I know there was a user created patch to make the game work with modern day video cards but since the demise of JoWood and their website, I can't find the fan based patch that fixes the issues.

Thanks.

Yep, I've got it somewhere, I'll take a look for you.

Edit:
Unsure where a safe download is, so I'll upload my patch for you.  Will take a little while though (1/2 hour), it's 117MB.  It's the 1.2 version of the fix for Industry Giant 2 Gold.  Hopefully that's the right version.

Any clue if there is a way to force IG2 to display at 1680x1050?

It seems that the max is around 1600x1200 and my Lcd desktop monitor is throwing a fit with this resolution.

Not that I know of...
There's an option for 1600x900 which looks pretty good, have you tried that?  Works fine on my monitor, though not as crisp as 1920x1080 of course.

Is anybody else missing the green and red bars in the product supply and demand graphs when you click on a retail shop and then the middle button on the right pane, the one that has the red and green arrows going sideways?

Kind of difficult to play when you don't know what the demand or how much you are supplying of that demand.

The other problem is the tooltip and other text in the game, doesn't matter what resolution I choose the text in the game is all messed up, kind of like squiggly odd lines inside of the text that doesn't belong.

In the screenshot below you see it's missing the red and green bars and if you look at the text you see that there are odd lines in places around the text where it doesn't belong.
