Questioning Was in an Adult Toy/Model Shop today looking for quirky presents for my never grown up friends, just like me, and I saw this beautifully crafted 4channel Helicopter with a WebCam for about £40 which is fantastic value considering when I was young and into model aircraft and couldn't afford RC and had to make it myself from parts, soldering, the works, -even basic Single Channel was about £200 in those days, so XXyears on an the whole caboodle for less than half price and a helio to boot, Yay!

But can you imagine the fun and games you could have with one flying over the neighbours' garden to perve the good lady wife lying their in all her glory Bashfull Female  harmlessly enjoying the sun then playing it back on the PC (software included) and then saying to the hubby down at the pub -" Hey Bert, have you got any dirty pictures of the wife?" and he suspiciously replying, - "No".

Then you saying - "Well do you want to buy some?" Black eye follows.

Never to be on his Christmas card list again.

So watch out folks for a little black helicopter - the spy in the sky. Now everyone can have their own drone.

Well, I won't lecture you on how difficult *I* find it to fly helicopters.  I figured that just because I could fly my RC airplanes that I could fly helicopters too.

Well, long story short, I have a helicopter sitting in my garage, that has busted landing skids, broken tail boom, missing tail boom motor, and destroyed top blades.  This was from only about a 10 second flight in my back yard when the heli went out of control and slammed into the eves of my roof.  But since you have experience with helicopters I need not say anymore.

That almost sounds like one of those 'too good to be true' deals, is there some kind of catch? Like do they send you a new helicopter every month for an extra £80 that they charge to your credit card un announced to you? Laughing

I just remember my helicopter costing me close to $400, and that was withOUT the transmitter and receiver electronics etc.

Anyway, have fun and send me a copy of Berts wife - Oh damn, better not, Samantha would kick my butt.

  Laughing             Ouch! that sounds expensive.

No thats just it I've never tried a helicopter and I've heard they can be damn tricky in inexperienced hands and before you get the knack it ends in pieces leaving the aspiring pilot poorer and not much wiser but very rueful. My experience was mainly with Single Channel slope soaring gliders and a few PeeWee powered .75cc monstrosities which invariably came to grief.

This helicopter is one stage up from the small indoor type that were popular a couple of years back, about 15 inches long and offering 3 channel. I've heard that to be able to hover effectively you need 4 channel and a very sensitive touch on the togglecontrol levers

So it looks like anyone trying this stunt on the neighbours next door will not only be charged with various offences under the the indecency act and invasion of privacy - but Assault and Battery to boot. Which could prove an expensive afternoon with a long time to repent at leisure at Her Majesties pleasure!

On second thoughts perhaps the Summer after next.

I'm also a lousy flight pilot in Sturmovik IL4 a flight simulator and I've single handedly wrecked half the Luftwaffe and that's still whilst on the ground. I veered off over to the right on take off and wiped out a line of Focke Wulfe 190d's parked minding their own business in my Messoshit 109G, should have taken the trainer. I've never seen a Luftwaffe captain cry before but this guy came up on the screen and gave me a mouthful in very choice German.

Then flying over the Russian steppe near Kharkov where both sides were playing Dodgem cars with their tanks because of the hate factor involved and the Germans were low on ammo and the Russians were just low. It happened that way in real life also. Anyway without noticing I'd taken my eye off the horizontal gauge for far too long and started to side slip and the first I knew about it was I thought I'd flown through a giant cowpat because the screen went a nice shade of khaki and brown and then more German expletives and the screen went black. No game crash it was still running in the background it was the Krauts didn't want me messing up anymore of their precious aircraft. Its the first time I've been kicked off a game.

Wizard Prang Biggles old chap, pass the brylcream and my new brown underpants.  Crying Flaming Mad
