Okay, given the fact that Glory of the Roman Empire, CC:Rome, Caesar 4, Anno 1701, The Guild 2, Railroads, Gothic 3 and other recent games are all still fresh on our hard drives with many not yet played out by we fools....I want to add salt to our gaming-time wounds by asking the question:  What games are you playing on buying in the near future?

Me? In order of release (if all releases go as planned)....

1: Europa Universalis 3 (depth ad infinitum!)
2: Heart of Empire: Rome (the next city builder...who knows how good it will be???)
3: The Witcher (third person RPG based on popular Russian graphic novel series)

I'm sure I'm forgetting something out there...but let's hear it???

 Hello and Welcome pat!!

The first two on your list will definitely be in my choices..  I'd need to know more about the Witcher selection, but if you are recommending it..how could I resist.  Smiley Blink

I suppose I should mention the Tortuga: Two Treasures, though it has been reaaaly slow in development. Sticking Tongue Out   The game story seems to be pretty well thought out.

Max...I'm also very interested in Tortuga because I have an affinity for Ascaron...but I just want to make sure it's NOT like either of the Pirates of the Carribean games...how can such great films spawn such horrid games???

I hear you pat!!  Sid M's Pirate game drove me nuts...pretty to the eye, but you aged so fast..no way to really appreciate the game.  Just one big frantic race to see how much you could get done before you had to permanently "retire"  Sticking Tongue Out..Mmm? I did learn to dance though... Looking around cautiously

If you or anyone wants to peek at the amazing art work Ascaron has worked up for T:2T (for short) I'll give the link here..pop over and check it out.  Looks like a Quest deal..but hopefully the game action will be something we can enjoy...that's the important part, Laughing

Heart of Empire: Rome (hoping it will be good, the screenies look good so far) and
World of Warcraft: The burning crusades (already have our preorder in at the local EBGames) Comes out January 16

I'd do Europa 3 but the last one I never managed to finish not even one game, just too complex for my gaming style I think.  Too many things to remember.

Gotta work on that tenacious political strategy...mericeless control cynicism has to be a work or the game returns the favor.

Heart of Empire: Rome probably is my next most anticipated game...can't get enough of Rome builders.  (Spoken like a true CB addict)   Wink

The next game I buy will be Sims 2 "Seasons", as it's the earliest release Big Smiley Grin Laughing
then-----Heart of Empire Rome Agreed Happy I hope it's good
Spore-------
I went into my local Game store the other day, and while I paid for a purchase, idly asked about pre-ordering "Spore" would I get double points---blah
He said yes, it's due out in March Questioning Questioning
now I read on the internet that Will Wright is not releasing it until the second half of this 007
I hope it's March

I've heard a lot of good pre-release buzz on Spore...not sure if it's my thing but so many folks think it's going to be fabulous...I may have to at least play a demo Big Smiley Grin Laughing

It's the creation tools that are drawing me to it, apparently you can create almost anything, and it will immediately get up and walk  Big Smiley Grin Laughing I have to see that.

Hello and Welcome Sandra  Smiley Blink

I hope you remember to share what you've created with us.  Genetic creations of this (SPORE) game seemed to be taking over the "radioactive" mutation characters we've become so accustom playing or hacking up...  It's not too long now if SPORE stays on schedule, we'll find out for ourselves. Laughing
