Hello Everyone,

I am surprised that there isn't a single post about the game Knights and Merchants.

I have played (and replayed) this game dozens of times and I find it to be one of the better City Builder/RTS games out there.  I would rate it as my second favorite with Settlers 2 (both releases) being my favorite.

I am curious as to why such a gem of a game was overlooked.

game looks interesting.

As you get closer to RTS rather then city builder, simulation, managerial style, the games are less likely to be discussed very much. Early Warcraft games certainly required you to build wood cutters, and other buildings to progress with your game, though i would hardly call it a citybuilder game. Classic as it is, and certainly a great game, just not really in tune with the overall aim of the site.

This thread did remind me of another game that i played though endlessly, will post a new thread for it.

I've played it before years ago.  Yups, I love how the different industries and jobs interconnect in the society.  But I think the game is a little too dependent on serfs.  Once all your serfs are dead, the game comes to a standstill if you're out of resources.
