Nope. I ain't died yet and I'm not planning on it neither, so don't get your hopes up!  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

I just dropped in to see what condition your condition is in, and it looks good. Mine's okay. Now HI! Hello, long time no see, and all that. And if you got a moment, help me with my question about Tropico vs Tropico3 down in the Tropoco zone  (the Bermuda Triangle?).

CityBuilder! Are you still in pain or did you cut off your hands yet? Me? I'm still in pain. She was lovely! She was wonderful! She was pretty and delightful. She broke my heart. It happened in second grade.

Hi back at ya, glad to see you're not dead.

Honestly sometimes my feet and ankles hurt so bad the thought of amputation comes into my mind, but so far I'm managing to live with it.

How is your baby boy? (sorry, I've forgotten his name, is he still snoring in your ear?)

heh! Baby boy is a big baby. Dogs are like kids and Buster is no exception to that rule. He doesn't

vacuum the floors
do the dishes
take out the trash
clean the bathroom
.
.
.
.
pick up his toys
lick my face to give me kisses

So, he's doing just fine. I wish I could get away with behavior like his.  Crying

My pain has worsened (as to be expected). My primary care now has me on Vicodan and it's working better than oxycodone did, but damn! I sure get stoned from it, so I'm trading one debilitation for another, but that's better than the pain, fer sure! I can't describe all the pains I have. There's too many! but hey! I'm a champ and deserve medals: The medal of valor in the face of corporate inefficiency; The Medal of Honor for behaving dignified out in the real world; and of course, The Purple Heart for what happened in the second grade. Perhaps someday they'll make a movie outta my life.

Amputation is not an option for you. There is this thing called ghost pain and these are real ghosts, not the Hollywood kind.

Did you get a new dog yet? Don't you think it's about time? There's lots of pretty breeds out there, so choose one and get yourself one that doesn't

vacuum the floors
do the dishes
take out the trash
clean the bathroom
.
.
.
.
pick up his toys

but make sure that he will lick your face to give you kisses. Never train a dog to not do that!  Disagreeing Madly

I saw a pair of golden labs with white feathers! Check out one of these some time! I like the German Rottie, the Airdale, and the Standard Poodle. Try one of those. Avoid the purse size dogs or people might think you're Paris Hilton (you don't want that).

One thing I can say with all certainty. I'm glad I misspent my youth on living instead of chasing dollars or going to college too early. I lived! I can't no more due to age and the forces of gravity and relativity. So, now I'm The Teacher. Wisdom has it's reward, and I'm trying to relish in it. However, the damn youngsters are like I was -- stubborn, and gotta learn it themselves. WELL, GOOD! Let 'em do it the hard way! Why should they get off easy?

Some good news: I got a raise today. I applied for food stamps and now qualify, due to Social Security's Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) not keeping up with true inflation over the last 15 years. I got a whopping $16.49 per month! WOOT! Who wants to party! I feel like celebrating!

I wish I had better news, like "I shot a corporate executive in the face" or "I robbed Chase Manhattan Bank", but then again, one can only dream of such pleasures. Maybe they're reserved for when you get to Heaven.

Anyways, am glad to see you're keeping citybuildergames up and running. I'm glad to be able to come here when I need to, so thanks for your hard work and effort, but no, like Buster, I refuse to give you kisses. Deal with it. I gotta. You gotta too.  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

I did get a new dog.  Another standard sized chocolate poodle.  I hadn't planned on getting one so soon after Weston's passing, but this turned out to be the last litter that Weston's dad was going to have, so if I wanted any part of Weston (so to speak), I'd have no choice but to get one.

So, Austin was born on Oct 31 (he's a halloween baby) and is about 10 1/2 months old now and doing fine.  He's turning into a big boy like his daddy and Weston.  He had a sudden growth spurt last month that took him over the height of our other Poodle, Penny.

After having a standard poodle, there is no other breed that would satisfy.  They are truly so human like that it's hard to go with anything else after living with one for several years.

He likes to play with me the same way that Weston used to, where he's sort of cat like and he winds his way in between my legs then around the outside then back through the tunnel then around again, he'll keep doing that if I don't stop him, he'll go for ages playing like that.

He seems quite attached to me, as long as he can see me, he's fine, but if I walk into the garage or bathroom he's got to be right there by my side.  At the moment he's the usual puppy spitfire when he want's to be but he'd doing great.

We went to the dog park on Sunday and he gets along with all the other dogs unless they grab my attention, then he literally gets jealous about it and wards them off.  He's not only protective but jealous as well.

I still have my moments where I miss Weston terribly, but Austin seems to sense 2 things in me, 1. when I'm feeling sad he's usually right by my side, and when my body is having problems like infections or extreme pain, his nose, noses right into the spot that is troubling me.  He found a problem with my leg before I or the doctors even knew anything existed.

He used to stick his nose at a spot on my inner thigh, and I couldn't figure out why he would always get to the exact same spot, weeks of this went on then one day my inner thigh was all swollen up.  Turns out there is some kind of infection in that spot on my leg that I'm taking anti biotics for, on and off as it comes and goes.

Strange.

That all sounds very delightful. Good for you. All this is very good news and I'm happy for you.

Dogs are good medicine. I don't understand why doctors don't prescribe them as a first line to depression. A good dog is well tuned into you, and a good master is well tuned to the dog. It comes instinctively and has worked for centuries. Sheesh! Too much science and not enough sense!

Dogs are good at getting you exercise. They also get their owners out into the world, to live, get exercise, and see the sun now and then.

Yep! This is good news! Its good, good, good!  Agreed Happy
