Hey, I'm new here and I figured this would be the best forum to ask a question.  I'm relatively new to city building games (except for Pharaoh and Cleopatra, I grew up on that game).

What city building games have multiplayer? (over LAN preferably)
I've been looking to play a city building game with a friend but they seem hard to find.  And I also need to mention this friend's computer is not very great, so games that aren't too graphics card intensive would be best.

I suggest the Anno series, that i find to be a good city builder game for multiplayer.

Well with the craze being minecraft right now, I recommend it, as if you buy it before tomorrow it is still half off (about $13) and you will still get free updates for life.  It is different but in a way a city builder.  Check out all our posts in the minecraft thread if you are interested. (You and your friend will both have to buy it, but the graphics are pretty simple)

As for loppan's suggestion Anno is another good choice as well, although I have only played about half an online game on it with another member on the forum (CB) [dont take that as anything against the multi, if I recall we were having some network issues, but for what we did play it was fun].

you could jump on the minecraft bandwagon.    buy it now for lifetime free updates!  Not quite the same style you probably mean, but a great game builder game with lots of freedom.
