With the all the interest in mining going on lately, thought some of you might like this:-

I was looking through the Casual/Indie Games on Steam the other night and downloaded a few Demos, Greed inc being among them, Flock being another and was so taken with the former that I bought it on offer for a 10% discount at £7.19. Its a mad, wacky, querky game with lots of sassy cartoony construction robots who will fight for ownership of stacked hexagons which decrease in height as and when mined or can be made to self destruct bringing disaster on themselves and taking a stack of hexagons, buildings and enemy infrastructure with them. crazy! The more you get into it the deeper it becomes - even chesslike, just as well its turn based. Flock is fun too, £4.95 another game set on a brightly coloured non descript planet and is based on using a flying saucer thingy to herd various animals to the mothership, where points are earned by abducting them, the farmland is made into courses with obstacles and bumpers and many other weird things. Controlling the flying saucer is quite a job as it careers round as if there's a drunk at the wheel but with perseverance I think you can get quite a lot of fun out of it.
Both games are fully 3D and visually attractive.

I mustn't get too carried away with Steam though because like everyone else am waiting to see what the great Steam sale has to offer over the hols, because if its anything like the great Summer clearout - discounts up to 75% can be had.    Happy Dance

Regards and Happy Hols

Yeah Greed Inc grabbed my interest also. I still want to buy it but because I know steam can do a lot better then just 10% off I am waiting till its at a greater discount. I have only seen reviews for it though. Didn't know there was a demo.

Well you certainly called that one. Greed Corp is 75% off today, costing only $2.50.
