Hey everyone.  I've been playing Pharaoh on and off for about six years.  I still haven't beaten it.  I've dabbled in Zeus and Ceasar III as well, though Pharaoh was always the favourite.  I have played Black and White 2  (And I loved it, I haven't even played the first, hate me if you must Sadness (<what is this?)).  I've also recently had a look at Dwarf Fortress, which is pretty fun for a while, until I realise that it's not much going anywhere.  Then I have to wait a while until it's fun again.

Anyway, I just finished high school and I am eager to finally turn my attention back to what is truly important, city building games.  I was looking around (who am I kidding, I googled it) and voila, friendly, happy looking city building games community right here.

Anyway, I see there's much to learn, with Minecraft and all that business.  I've never played Tropico, nor Anno 1(<insert any number here>)01.  So hello friends, and I look forward to city building adventures.

Hello and Welcome,

Congrats on finishing High School.

Minecraft has been making a craze on the internet, that's for certain.  I enjoyed B&W2, and that face is a sad face of pip boy from the , WOW, I just had a complete brain anurism, I can't remember the name of the game, but it recently had a new expansion put out called something like Welcome to New Vegas, or the new las vegas or something like that.  Dang these brain farts.

Anyway, welcome to the community, i hope you enjoy your visits.

Edit: Oh yeah, Fallout 3, that face is pipboy sad from Fallout 3.

Welcome!  I spent a very long time playing Zeus and Emperor - wonder if I could run it widescreen?

Oh yeah Fallout I see it now.

A while ago I tried playing Zeus on windows running on a Desktop Mac (with a pretty enormous screen), it bluscreened on me every time I got into it.  I didn't end up playing much Zeus on than Mac.  I don't know if it had anything to do with the resolution.  I don't quite see why you would wish to play Zeus in the widescreen anyway, I have a feeling that the graphics don't get a whole lot better as  you go bigger.

It's mainly about being able to see more area at once.  Some games like Planescape Torment and Simcity 4 are pixel-based, which keeps the pixels the same size and extends the playing area; instead of stretching or changing the field of view.
