Hmmm, it seems that we tested this for them in the first expansion pack of The Sims 3, with World Adventures.  Few wanted their precious sims having a more scripted life of adventure, so they seem to have switched back with the upcoming expansion to a more normal Sims experience and have left the scripted roleplaying adventure to this Sims Medieval instead.

Interesting, very interesting.

There are a couple of things on the official website that make it sound like it could be very interesting...hopefully Looking around cautiously:

•Build your realm according to your ambitions, using castles, churches, towers and workshops

and:

Everyone has to begin somewhere and the first ambition of any Monarch is to populate their kingdom. A kingdom full of buildings and Sims is just what a budding ruler needs.

Fingers crossed Thumbs Up Wink Wink

wow. this may actually get me to play the sims again. I usually got burnt out by constantly having to babysit my sims, as they could never manage to do what I felt they should have been able to do on their own. i wanted less direct interaction with the daily life of the sim. maybe I was just never that good at the sims. i could have a clean available bathroom, and when that sim had to go, i would always have to tell them to go to the bathroom. They would just assume pee on the floor if i didn't tell them where to go. same with eating, getting up(alarm clock or no), showering, going to work, eating before work, ect. I could never seem to set up a house and have them go about their daily lives, without constant, menial interaction.

Many expansion packs, seems to add lots of fluff, and little content. That is always a big turn-off for me to any game.

This game seems to be on a different playing field, and I am certainly interested to play.
