Hello everyone

recently I found out that Artdink are releasing a kind of expansion pack for A9 - naturally I was very interested.

I've written a fuller report on it here:

www.a-trainhx.com/blog/?p=568

Essentially it's collection of buildings for the game, thus increasing the opportunities for A9 fans to craft the the type of city they want.  Alot of Japanese fans of the game never bother with the scenarios, preferring instead to create city maps of their own in the map editor with the freedom to arrange and place every aspect of their trains, buildings and landscape.  For this reason A-Train has, for a long time, appealed to otakus who love the N-Gauge model railways and scenery.

Enjoy.

Still no word on it being released for N. American customers, or any UK sellers that sell it to U.S. Consumers, preferably in a download digital package?

I saw one place for it for sale, but they wanted something like 10,558 Yen, equal to about $135.00 USD.  Not a good deal no matter how much I'd like to own A9.

I heard they are releasing an English language version.  No date confirmed though.

Hopefully everyone now knows about the release of A-Train9 in English.

If not, it is being released under the name 'Train Giant' and should be with us in the next week or so.

As with A8 there will be a drastically reduced number of trains.

Heh, nope I haven't heard anything about it's release.

Do you know who will be selling it digitally?  Any big digital distributors?

Thanks for letting us know, I really look forward to it with the videos that I've seen it looks so pretty.

Just purchased it on Gamersgate for $25, a far better price than some sites I saw it floating around on with price tags of close to $200

Supposedly it releases tomorrow (April 1, 2012), I hope it's not an aprils fools joke on me.

I'm really not sure how the Japanese players can create cities in their own arangement unless the Japanese version ships with more buildings.  The selection of buildings is very slim and I'd have a terrible time if I had to try to create an entire city with what is available in the English version I think.  I only spent about 5 or 10 minutes in the editor, but it was seemingly obvious that there is a very limited amount of buildings available to use in the map editor towards building my own city.

But I think that those that do it this way, are likely to concentrate more on the trains themselves and able to overlook repetitive buildings on the map which I think there must be many judging by the amount of buildings that I've seen available to use to build a city up.

Still... The game is about the trains, now I just want to know how to unlock the 200 trains that the German players have been able to do.
