Hello, my fellow city builders!

As the times passes, more and more games are made for the casual crowd, simplistic with quick rewards fluffy games that miss on the thing old timers love the most: game play.  Games have passed from desktop to web, but sadly they have been even more dumbed down, err. . .  streamlined :D With that in mind, I've developed a browser based strategy aimed at a mature audience who wants deeper gameplay that's so rare these days.  It's not the facebook type of game where you mindlessly click and advance to level 100, but a city builder with interesting civilization features and a few of my ideas.  Forgive the spartan graphics but it's a game built with 0 (zero, null, nil) $ budget in which the importance lies in gameplay and not in anime like eye candy.

If you are veterans of Caesar building series and at least know about Civilization, you will feel right home in Xemerys: you have a city-state to grow up with citizens that need food, products and services, where quality of life, social issues and pollution matter and where you'll have to collaborate with other players in order to succeed.  It is not a war game, although you can wage wars (if you economy and development allows it), it's about managing a settlement.  It is a manager's game not a urban architect's game.

The game requires only a modern browser (Firefox 3, Opera 10, Ie 8) with java script enabled and a few minutes a day to play it.  Don't think it's yet another clone of ikariam/travian/etc , it's an original game where long term planning and quick adaptability are the keys.  It's intuitive to play if you'll use real life common sense but don't forget to check the wiki and some tutorials.  Remember though that each player has it's own strategy and what works for some might not suit your style.

You can give it a try at   www.xemerys.com and you can read the wiki here: http://xemerys.wikia.com/wiki/Xemerys_Wiki

Fixed the URLS to bypass our spam trap.

Good luck passing the test to register guys... I guess I'm 'too good' to play Xemerys.  Thumbs Up

Hmmm, it does indeed appear to be down.  I get a DNS error, which usually means the domain name is no longer available on the internet, although it's registered until April 11, 2011
