It seems to be a compilation or bundle of T3 and Absolute Power -- and hopefully their latest patches ("Updates" 1.17/2.01 - this week). One would have to guess that they consider the latest patches to be the last that are needed ; or at least the last they are going to work on.

In the dairy business using hand milking, it's called "stripping" which is a motion to get the last few drops out of the cows udder at the end of a milking.

The release date seems a little confused, with the date you mention being most likely just for Europe - and perhaps only for the German language version.

So far as I have noticed, the only announcement on the Kalypso is in German.

It is now available online for direct download from a variety of digital partner sites worldwide including http://www.feralinteractive.com and the Mac App Store. The game is also available for download and review by approved media.

Developed by Haemimont Games and published by Kalypso Media for Windows, Tropico 3: Gold Edition is a re-imagining of the classic construction and management simulation Tropico.

Tropico 3 Gold for the Mac will retail in North America for US $34.99, £24.99 (inc. VAT) in the UK and €29.99 (inc. VAT) throughout Europe.
