I tried looking for a forum for The Settlers 3 that could help me but I wasn't able to even find any forums for it at all besides this one.

If anyone has played this game I'm wondering if you could fill me in on something that drives me nuts.  When my soldiers get within firing range of an enemy tower, even though I am in my own territory, the enemies bowmen shoot at me.  But for some reason mine won't do the same to the enemy.  So I have these towers next to the enemy border and yet the bowmen won't shoot the enemy till he crosses the border, but then the enemy is too close to the tower so my men can't shoot at them still.  Surely the devs didn't give the AI such an obvious advantage did they?

I'm still struggling with this problem.  If anyone has the game, or perhaps even The Settlers 4 since they are pretty much the same game from what I've seen, and has any advise for me on this issue I'd appreciate it, thanks.

Vermin: As far as I can remember, and it has been ages since I played S4, this was a problem that existed in the game's coding and could not be overcome...but again, I'm thinking WAAAAY back on this one....
