Does anybody know how the blue coins at gamersgate.com work?

I've got a few thousand, maybe 5800 or so blue coins however, everytime that I buy something from them the bluecoins option to pay is grayed out and I can't use any of them to discount the price accordingly.

This makes me wonder if blue coins are only usable if they are enough to pay for the entire order or if I'm just not using their system correctly to use the blue coins.

Anybody know if blue coins can only be used if I have enough of them to pay for the entire order?

You know, I'm pretty sure you use them to buy stuff with and I think you're right about needing enough to fully pay for a title...but I've never used them myself either...

BTW...hvae you noticed how much faster Gamersgate's downloads are in the past 8-10 months or so?  It's like they quadrupled their pipe!

Yup, I did notice that.  It used to be that I could load up their website's main page and sit for 3 to 5 minutes before it would fully load, now it almost pops onto my screen instantly.  The last game that I bought from them was only around 540MB but it downloaded at half the max speed of my connection which is acceptable.

This is why I just bought Star Ruler from them on preorder (supposed to be released this morning sometime), had their speeds not increased since the days when I was only getting 80kbs I'd not bother with them anymore.  I'm pleased to see that they've opened up the pipes.

I guess I should have used the coins when I bought some title from them for $3.50 since I had enough back then to pay for the title, kind of doubtful I'd ever have enough blue coins to buy a major release, at least not before my arthritis is so bad that I can't play games anymore
