I'll wait until October (hopefully) before getting involved with this. From what I've seen so far I like it a lot, especially the bit were you don't get attacked when offline. I've been frustrated too many times with online games where you get wiped out early and never make headway, if you weren't in at the beginning. Or, after building up some real estate have to continually log on to protect your interests. I gave up with Stronghold Kingdoms Online beta because I could seldom get a connection.

Here's a nice freebie for anyone liking MMORTS, its a browser based game so only a small download, and instead of a static build site it is animated and going to real time battle resolve when required.

Its a fun distraction which helps to keep me away from work which can't be a bad thing

Full version out now, am trying out the Egyptians at the moment. Will have a go at them to see if I want to buy any of the packs later on.

Playing greeks here... ended up buying it right off the bat, more so to support them since I love aoe, but getting the rare items is a nice bonus.

I tried the Greeks in the beta, did like. Egyptians seem to be as good for me. When the Celts come out, I will most likely go to them out of all the civilisations.

I sort of have frame rate issues on my laptop, can't wait to upgrade a bit.

  This is a seriously good game. its fun, love the cartoony style - not overdone, just right for the style of game. Its got great depth and just seems to go on and on. Started playing the Greeks last night, prefer their architecture and landscape and they have a decent military line up, it seemed to work for Alexander alright. F2P is all well and good but you soon run into premium play lock outs, just now I accepted a quest which rewards with Advisor academy, got the blueprint but can't place because its premium play only, little things like that and limits to workshops, inventory slots etc soon make you feel like a second class citizen. I'm going to buy it because I like it so much but it sure consumes time and rapidly gets harder after a few levels, keeps you on your toes.

I'm surprised more is not being said on this forum about it , although its RTS, its largely city building after all is said and done and I would have thought it would have appealed to more peeps. Go on give it a go you never know you just might like it.
