I don't know what that error means.  I've attached a zip file to this post (trying to anyway, it's 3.5mb) of the contents of the Globexco Unlocker version 3 mod, the way that the unlocker 3 mod was created is of individual mods so that we can remove any that we don't want from our game, so my paks.zip folder attached has all the Globexco version 3 unlocker mods in it.
So if you can't get the installer working, you can download the zip and place the contents in your Paks folder.  Remove any of the patch files that are in the paks.zip file that you don't want to use in your game.  Personally I just have them all as it's not been a problem thus far to run them all.

Just if you can't get the installer working is all.

Oh and yes, the '.patch' files just drop them in your pak folder.  you don't open them with anything, you only need to save the .patch files into the pak folder.

Yup, it's me again Laughing.
I tryed the game last night. It looks OK.
I have build some Medieval houses. After a while my farms went bankrupt because the lack of unskilled workers. A bit before that these guys said there where no jobs avalable.
I do have a road connection. Is it possible that the medieval residents don't work?

Also the heavy industry give me troubles. They go bankrupt because there is not enough freight. Do  i have to build bigger roads or do i build to far from the workers.
Before i intalled the patch i didn't have that problem, only to much freight.

Can you give me some advice?

Let's start with the Medieval houses.  I believe because it's a set, you have to setup an entire small neighborhood using all the different buildings from that set, like the medieval store, and such likd that.  Personally I've not used them beyond plonking down a couple houses.  Once the game told me that I would have to plonk down other buildings from the set, I removed the medieval houses from that city.  Oh and they need to be like a neighborhood, you can't place a medieval house on one side of the map, and a medieval retail shop on the other side of the map, they won't work, they must be built as if like a neighborhood is built, somewhat in close proximity to one another from what I've experienced.

There is a delay in the game, I believe it simulates or trys to simulate real life.  Everything is not instant in the game so that might account for the discrepency of the game telling you there are no jobs, and the farms telling you there are no workers.

I only use the statistics panel to adjust how many homes or workplaces that I build, I try to keep it at 0% across all social classes, however every now and then there is a shift in the workforce and I'll find that a bunch of one social class or another have become unemployed.  I do NOT build new workplaces when this happens, I just let it be and it will clear itself up.

For the freight problem, make sure to use at least the small avenue to make the connections to the edge of the map, they must get that freeway sign at the edge where you connect them for freight to be there.  I don't remember how many you can build, I want to think that it is only one or two per side of the map, but it might just be as many as you can fit in the areas that turn purple when you get a road near to them.

Also make sure that your industry buildings are straight off of a small avenue at the least so that the freight can get to them easily, as well as plonk down the industry buildings reasonably close to the edge of the map where you have a freight connection (at least a small avenue going to the freeway sign at the edge of the map).

While the game is pretty much static in the sence that none of the homes change to a higher wealth level, I have found that labor shifts rather frequently if the unemployment is not at 0%.  Higher than this and the labor force seems to shift jobs every now and then.

Take a look at your traffic overlay, if you see lots of red streets, avenues etc then you need to do something about it so that workers can get to work in an appropriate amount of time.

In case anybody missed it before, I'll say it again, if you don't plan on using a mod all the way through building your city then don't use it at all.  Once you have installed certain mods and placed some buildings or other things from it, if you remove the mod and try to play that city it will crash the game and you will have to put that mod back into the game to continue playing it.

So if this mod is giving you problems Chalako, then I would stop with that city, either delete it or don't play it again and just remove the mod before you play any more in the game so that you don't build a huge city and then decide the mod is causing you problems and remove it to not be able to play that saved city again.

The only issue that I've found with the GlobexCo unlocker version 3 mod is that for some reason the Harbor building does not show up in the intercity build menu, this makes playing on Island maps impossible since you need that building.  This can be worked around by removing all of the GlobexCo mod from the paks folder, start a new city, place a couple harbors, then put the globexco mod back in the paks folder, then play as normal again.

So far that's the only bug that I've personally experienced with that mod.

Hope this helps in some way.

This is very helpfull, City Builder,  especialy about the freight.  I used a simple road  to connect the edge of the map.
On some maps you have only one possibility for a connection because of the mountains or water.
After a while the bankrupt issue went better. I noticed that when a company was bankrupt it worked again after a while, i was used to delay them but i don't care about it any more.
Thanks again for all the information. What would i do without you.  Wink Wink

When you are stuck because of a mountain when trying to build a road, take it slow, move the mouse around only fractions at a time, when the street turns green click the left mouse button.  What I'm trying to say is that there are some mountains that are unpassable if you attempt to go straight up the mountain, cliff etc.  However, on some of the maps you can traverse the terrain of the cliffside/mountain sideways and while it might take you out a fair distance, you might be able to get to the top by doing it this way and earn another freight connection for doing so.

Here is my last attempt to do this, and it allowed me to hook up one more freight connection:

It's not pretty, but it does work.

hello

the trainstation is working .  I use this mod in my citiesxl game
and it works great for me

This morning i have build a trainstation with a railroad but it dos'nt seem  to work. No trains visible, only a little orange house with an arrow.
Do i have to build it close to the residents? I also build a big railwaystation but that's also not working. I see railwaytracks inside the station but i'm not able to connect another rail to it. My rail is connected to the edge of the map.

Unless I'm mistaken, trains in XL09 are eye candy, and you may have to place the train on the tracks yourself, they do not run around the tracks in XL09 as far as I understand.

In XL11, they introduced subway trains that are supposed to run around the tracks, however I've not yet managed to properly build an above ground rail track to see if how they are working, apparently in my city, they all run underground only and I never see them so far.
