I'm totally shocked.

In the past when ever I tried to download a game that I bought from GamersGate.com I would get a lousy 80kb/sec.

Today I decided to redownload Supreme Ruler 2020 and and managed a sustained 600kb download speeds.  I guess I better take the time while it's working so well to download the rest of the games I've bought from them over the years.

I tried the demo but couldn't figure the game out, SR2020.

You're not alone Tom, I'm still trying to figure the game out.  If I remember correctly they are coming out with a sequel, which supposedly makes a huge improvement in the GUI which is one of the worst parts of the game.  Theres a huge amount of data there but from my memory it took quite a bit of digging to find things that I wanted to know, but which probably wouldn't have helped me even if I did know.

I never got very far into the game when I first bought it so don't have a clue why I bought the expansion pack when it was first released.  Probably in hopes that they improved it to make it easier for me to figure out.  So during my limited exposure to the game, it consisted mainly of shuffling around some tanks and troops, and ships around the landscape and not a whole lot else.

I just figured I'd give it another go and see if I could make heads or tails out of it since I already own it.
